A short five-minute walk brings you to scenic Canyon Creek with lovely views of Mt. Baker. Continue on and arrive at the Nooksack River, where you can stroll along the water, try your hand at fly-fishing, or simply relax with a peaceful picnic. Rock-hounds will delight in searching for fossils dating as far back as the Eocene Epoch. Mt. Baker Ski Area (22 miles) provides top-tier snow sports and winter recreation, as well as bountiful hiking trails, lakes, waterfalls, and river access for plenty of year-round fun.

5/5 What a wonderful weekend walking to the river, dinner at in Glacier, & campfire with s’mores! We enjoyed this beautiful cabin. Room for all..loved the kid zone upstairs & the coffee/drink zone is a hit.
Perfect nature retreat!
5/5 We stayed here with another family for a weekend getaway and had the perfect experience. The cabin is tucked back in a culdesac and sits on a well kept open property that was perfect for letting our littles explore and adventure in plain sight. The fire pit was a big hit with plenty of seating and room for star gazing and roasting marshmallows at night (the host left us complimentary firewood which was an added bonus). We walked the trail to Canyon Creek and came across the most incredible rock structure where the adults sat to relax while the kids were entertained skipping rocks and dipping their toes. It was so close to the cabin we made multiple trips during our stay. Mt. Baker Ski Area was the perfect distance for a short day trip where we found snow for some play and on the way back to the cabin stopped for hot chocolate.
The cabin itself is probably the best set up for a vacation rental I have ever encountered, and we vacation a lot. They found a way to make it feel warm and cozy yet the decor is clean and modern. Everything you would need from the comfort of your own home is here without the added knick knacks lying around that can clutter and get in the way of your own belongings. The beds are actually COMFORTABLE, each and every one of them, which for some reason is rare, so we were all happy with the rooms we got. There is the cutest little nook upstairs for the kids to retreat to watch movies and play games. And bunk beds are always a hit for the kids. The wood burning stove added to the cabin in the woods feel in the mornings around the dining table having coffee and in the evenings while snuggled up watching movies in the living room.
The hosts were accommodating and communicative and enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked our next trip. Highly recommend with 5 stars across the board!

Beautiful mountain getaway
5/5 We visited with two couples to go hiking at Mt. Baker. The home was beautiful, with easy access to highway 542 but no traffic noise. We had lots of space to spread out and play board games in the evening. The kitchen had all the necessities, Wi-Fi was great, and it was so nice to have detailed instructions for walking to the creek and lighting the wood stove (there's electric heat, but the stove was so cozy). We'd come back!
