You'll want to get snowed in at this cozy 2-bedroom, 2-bath home in Deming. Once you've settled in, get a fire going in the wood-burning stove, or relax on the back deck and enjoy peaceful wooded views. If you're visiting in the summer months, take advantage of the prime location and enjoy one of the many beautiful hikes nearby. Come winter, make the easy 17-mile drive to Mt. We had a 3-night stay at the cabin.
Nice neighborhood with easy access to the park, the proximity is incomparable. Checking in was straightforward and simple. While cell phone reception is spotty in the area, the Wi-Fi provided is sufficient. Hot water ready and heaters to keep you warm during the evening chill.
Upon arrival, the lights in the upstairs suite were not working. We attempted to contact the owner around 9 p.m. but received no response. We ended up troubleshooting the issue ourselves and discovered that two breakers had tripped. The wiring upstairs clearly has a problem that needs to be addressed, as I had to reset the breakers multiple times and ultimately had to rely on one that kept the lights on.
Overall, the house is clean, but the overhead exposed beams need to be dusted and be cleared of spider webs. Some of the bed pillows need to be replaced as well, as they were quite stained from prolonged use, which we only noticed after stripping the linens before leaving.
The fireplace was not cleaned off ash from the previous use. The fire box base was full of ash and debris, making it unusable. I cleaned out two pans of ash and nails but there was still a lot of debris left. For that reason, I decided not to use the fireplace.
The grill grates were in poor condition and required cleaning. I had to remove greasy debris and burn off residue a few times before it was usable.
I’m not trying to be malicious—these claims have been documented and images are available if needed. When one pays such amounts of money, you should get an equivalent level of service and expectations.
We left a piece of tape on the stair rail due to a wobbly step. This is the seventh step up from the ground floor and could easily cause someone to trip.
The entertainment center, including the TV, was not set up for guest use. If these amenities are advertised, they should be ready for occupants use.
Regarding surveillance, there are cameras recording all your activity inside the house, beyond the entryway. I have similar equipment and am familiar with the trigger areas. The zones of activation and camera angle could be improved with customer privacy in mind.
The home is beautiful and has all the necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable. However, some work is needed on the host's part in terms of upkeep and hygiene.
Wonderful location! Great cabin which has everything you need. The only improvement that can be made is the cleanliness. It is pretty clean, but can be better!
This simple cabin was just the right size for our family of 2 adults and 3 kids. The kids loved the pool table. Good location for going on hikes in the Glacier area.

Quaint little cabin in the woods. Very clean and well stocked. Unfortunately, internet was not working (which was a disclaimer in the description) and could not get reception without leaving the Snowline park area. The front door key fob was not working, but communication to get it resolved was fast and effective. No washcloths were provided, so bring your own. The master bed is terrible, so we ended up sleeping in the second bedroom. Super convenient location for hiking/skiing.
