Cute little house that had plenty of space for for family get together.
Pros:
-Excellent heating, took no time to warm up the main area, and the space heaters in the bedrooms worked quick
-The thoughtful welcome basket with snacks was a wonderful surprise and we really appreciated the extra effort here
-Clean! Usually our dog-friendly rentals show wear and tear, but this house was super clean had no peculiar smells for those of us sensitive to that
-Quiet, we didn't hear much of any noise. There are neighbor dogs on both sides of the backyard, and they would bark occasionally when we took our pups out, but aside from that, heard nothing.
-Cute kitchen with pans and serving bowls which was lovely for our holiday dinner.
-The adjustable mattresses were super comfy along with cozy bedding
Cons
-There was no shampoo or soap for showers which may have just been an oversight by whomever stocked it, but just to be safe, maybe plan on bringing your shower essentials.
-Think we had two rolls of toilet paper total, but luckily my mother had brought some so that saved us.
Would definitely, and probably will, try to stay here again when visiting my sister who was only two blocks away.
This house is in the heart of town. It appears to be year-round residents around us.
You can walk to groceries and a couple of restaurants. We were a hiking group, and terrific trails are within 45 min drive.
House was as described. Everything worked well. I’d return!

Property overall was great and had everything we needed. There is a rug in the master suite which could use updating and if you bring a dog, note the pest boxes containing poison under the deck. I feel there should have been a note about that, as it’s a safety concern. Town is nice and has some great restaurants. People are friendly!

The house worked perfectly for me and my 2 siblings. We'll stay there again!

It was super cold in the bedrooms as the heaters didn’t work, only the living room area had heat . No fans in the bathrooms. The master bathroom door dragged on the ground making it extremely hard to close. Doesn’t seem like anyone cares about maintaining the rental. Won’t be staying here again. Next time will stay at a hotel.

Hi Crystal, we're sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered with heating during your stay. When you contacted us the day after your check-in, we brought you space heaters and let you know were the extra blankets were. We didn't hear from you after that. The baseboard heaters have not been used for several years, and we typically rely on the propane fireplace to heat the home, which has proven effective in the past. We did communicate that you could adjust the fireplace to your desired temperature.
Regarding the door to the main bathroom, while it does drag slightly, we haven't experienced difficulties closing it. However, we appreciate your feedback and will address this to ensure a smoother experience for future guests.
Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. We are committed to continuously improving for all our guests.
