4/5 This home is clean and pleasant, and minutes from the beach. We particularly enjoyed using the kayaks provided by the hosts, and rented an additional one from a local company who delivers and picks up.The second bathroom in this home is downstairs and through the garage, and the stairs are a bit steep, so night time visits will need to use the upstairs bathroom! Bathrooms are well appointed and remodeled, as is the kitchen. Hosts provide a generous fruit tray and snacks for visitors.Be aware that the Whidbey Naval Station jets regularly fly over this area and make a significant noise, so afternoon naps can be subject to interruptions.The decor in this home reflects a keen love of plants, both inside and out. I think I counted 12 spider plants hanging upstairs! The walls are painted with flowers and a sunburst, and Japanese and Egyptian artwork adorn the walls and surfaces. It’s an eclectic, filled environment, both upstairs and downstairs, with a lot to look at. The hosts were attentive, considerate, and thoughtful.
