  Wonderful property with stunning views! Please note that this is an upstairs and downstairs home connected by stairs outside. Would be prefect for multi-family getaway. Make sure to bring your own hair dryer!

• Cute house, but dirty and not well stocked

  The house is two separate units that are rented together. Although the lake was great and area was cute, the downstairs had a horrible smell coming from the bathroom/laundry area. Neither kitchen was well stocked, and there were random objects left around the house, as if it hadn’t been cleaned before we came (nursing pads, leftover alcohol). The shower curtain in the downstairs unit also didn’t work to keep any water in.

  They also advertised the pull out couches as areas to sleep. We rented this house planning to use these beds, but no sheets, blankets, pillowcases were provided for them.

  We also paid a significant cleaning fee to have the house be super smelly and dirty, plus to have to strip all the beds, take out the trash, and clean all the dishes before we left.

• So much potential

  We had a great time, however there were a few items that impacted our stay. For example there were no sheets or blankets to be found for either of the pull out beds. There were one or two dish towels and a limited supply of cookware such as cooking/ prep bowls and knives. The downstairs bunk bed is very unstable and when anyone moves on the top bunk the entire bed shakes. Also the smoke alarm went off four times when doing basic cooking over the stove (we did figure out the fans and that helped). Also, the coffee maker was for pods and we did not come prepared for this.

  Again, we had a wonderful stay, we loved the dock and kayaks- but it could have been superb with a few simple upgrades.

• Beautiful Lakefront

  We were very appreciative that someone would share their beautiful home with us. However, there was a few things that the owner should be aware of in order for the next guests to enjoy their stay. It took us awhile to get into the house because no one said there was a pound sign included in the log in. I had a black sweatshirt on when I sat on a couch and when I got up, it was full of dog hair. There was a bbq & tabletop fire pit on the balcony with 4 empty bottles of propane. We had to find a place that evening that could fill a bottle. The throw rugs in the bathroom should have rubber backing to avoid someone slipping on them. People should be aware that a hair dryer is not provided. We had to go buy one. I would suggest not using fragrant laundry detergent on the sheets because some people are very sensitive to smells. The only heater that worked was in a bedroom. There were a few space heaters around but they could be dangerous if you have small children or animals. There was a lot of electrical outlets in the house but only the top plugin worked on most of them. We were able to deal with everything but some people might put up a fuss.
