Perfect Hood Canal Getaway: Waterfront Views, Wildlife, Trails & Paddleboard Adventures
5/5 We had an amazing stay at this cozy waterfront rental on the Hood Canal over Labor Day weekend. The location is unbeatable—the home sits right on the water with a private boat ramp that is shared with the neighbor and a private dock that made launching our paddleboards effortless.
Inside, the house has a charming beach-inspired décor, with walls decorated by original paintings created by the owner’s mother, which added a wonderful personal touch. The furnishings included unique antique pieces, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook any meal with ease.
The sunsets from the private deck were breathtaking, and the wildlife watching was unforgettable. We spotted bald eagles with their young foraging at low tide across the lagoon, which truly made the experience feel magical.
For those who love hiking, the location couldn’t be better. Twanoh State Park, Gold Creek Trailhead on Green Mountain, and even the Olympic National Park Staircase entrance were all within easy reach, offering stunning trails and scenery to explore.
This spot is perfect for both relaxation and adventure, and I would absolutely love to return. Highly recommended!
Fantastic Spot on Beautiful Hood Canal!
5/5 This place is truly a hidden gem! So close to hiking trails in Belfair at the Salmon Center and at the Twanoh State Park. The kitchen has everything needed for any meal preparation, excellent coffee for guests and an amazing view of the Olympic Mountains. My girlfriend loved the beachy decorations and the beautiful quilts and paintings created by the owner's mother.
The bed we slept in was comfortable and the sunset was amazing! We will definitely stay here again!
