Framed by idyllic nature scenes and Pacific-fed waters, this Bainbridge Island vacation rental invites you outside! 'Island Tides Lodge' boasts a 4-bed, 3-bath main house and a 2-bed, 1.5-bath guest house, which both serve as your launching pad into the great outdoors. Face off on the pickleball court — one of the first created after the sport was founded on the island — launch watercraft from the floating dock, and end each day beside either of the fire pits with the ones who matter most.

Pros: Spacious place and great location. Pickleball court, billiards, ample parking space, plenty of linens and bedding etc. The host was super nice to have plenty of fans to keep the house cool.
Cons: Unsafe walkboard near the dock was a safety hazard, odd smelling tap water, a large dog that came a few time around the property and jumped on kids - the dog was probably being playful, but that scared the heck out of the kids, the listing mentioned Jacuzzi but the water heater was non-operational, the kayak on the property was full of large spiders so we didn't use it.
Overall, we enjoyed the place but didn't get everything that was in the listing. It'd be nice to let guests know that beforehand!
Hi PB, the right vacation home is everything, and we're glad you enjoyed the space, location, and amenities. After sending your feedback to the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:
- We're happy to hear that you found the home spacious and appreciated the amenities like the fans, pickleball court, and ample linens.
- We did clean the kayak before you arrived and pressure washed everything. We also bought some natural peppermint spider repellent to spray in the kayak and canoe.
- The dock is safe, pressure washed, and inspected regularly. However, we’ll be investing in some additional updates, to make the property even more amazing.
- Our listing clearly states that the hot tub is not currently available for guest use as we are waiting for a new control panel that’s on back order. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to have it repaired as soon as possible.
- We understand that the tap water can have an unusual smell and this can occasionally happen due to the local water supply, but we’ll look into potential solutions to mitigate this.
- The large dog you encountered must be from a neighboring property and has never visited our property before. We’ll communicate with the neighbors to ensure their dog remains away from our home. We apologize that the dog surprised you.
- Thank you again for providing such valuable feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!
