Nice for a short stay
3/5 We stayed for 2 nights and it fit our needs for a short weekend in Auburn. The house was pretty clean upon arrival but I did find a clothes pin and a few other small items on the bedroom floor that were concerning as we had an infant under 1 with us who eats everything she can find. We didn't do any cooking while there, but the appliances were well appointed and clean. The neighborhood was rather loud at night with a busy road a short ways from the house.

Communication issues
3/5 I could not find check in instructions on the day we were due to arrive so I used my VRBO app to inquire. I did not receive a response for quite some time and finally figured out I needed to check specifically for an email from the property management company. Found the check-in instructions. Problem was that apparently the cleaning company changed the lock box code and, after some trial and error, was able to call the Property Management Company in the middle of the night to get the right code. There is actually somebody living in the bottom portion of the house which was a little disconcerting because I did not see in the listing anywhere where it was specified that there was somebody living in the same residence we rented. It wasn’t a big deal, just unexpected and a little strange as I was traveling alone with my son.

Hi Paula, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
-We are sorry for the confusion with the lockbox code. The code has now been updated to prevent any future occurrences.
-Check-in instructions are sent via email from the property management company; we appreciate your patience in locating them.
-The lower portion of the house is occasionally occupied by the homeowner, who uses a separate entrance and takes care of landscaping and cleaning.
