Nestled in a serene valley of the Green Mountain National Forest and boasting 5 acres of maple tree-laden land, this Victorian home is the place for an unparalleled retreat. The 6-bedroom, 3.5-bath vacation rental was built in 1856 and boasts a perfect blend of old-fashioned charm and modern luxury. Spend your days relaxing at the river on-site, taking a dip in the pool, or roasting s'mores at the fire pit. During winter, curl up with a book in the library and gaze out over a snowy hillside.

The house was a perfect weekend getaway for a group of friends from the city. It was absolutely gorgeous and had everything we could need. We even got two feet of snow, so it was a magical Vermont experience! We would definitely go back and thank you!

Loved the Friendsgiving at this beautiful place. We had 14 people ranging in age from 9 to 50 plus a pet. We had ample room and great hospitality. We also had a great lunch at Mystic 802 (recommend the spaghetti).

This property was a dreamy, romanticized take on a Victorian property. There was more than enough space for 11 of us (4 extra beds than we needed!!) and the property was absolutely decked out with everything you could need. We swam, we played volleyball, we had a family archery contest, we ate outside on a long, handmade table that looked like it was from a “country living magazine”…. There was lazy morning coffee on the front porch, late night hangouts on the back deck, a sunken bathtub…. books and artwork galore… this home is a well maintained, storybook place and was perfect for a family reunion. Any concerns I had based on previous reviews were put to rest immediately - ignore them! The water was lovely and tasted great, dishwasher worked fine, everything was comfortable. 100% would stay again (and maybe again and again!)

Huge funky house that was comfortable for our group of 14.
Things we loved:
-Plenty of space for sleeping
-Huge outdoor picnic table for family dinners
-Beautiful spacious yard full of games and activities
-Owner was very helpful and easy to contact
Things to know:
-The grounds keepers are there so it is not a completely private stay, but they are friendly and kind- even gave us beets out of the garden
-There was a cat that was difficult to get to leave us alone at times. It’s friendly but if you don’t like cats or bring a dog it can be difficult
Overall- we can’t wait to go back! 14 people- 4 different families and everyone wants to go back.
Wonderful house, yard, and area to relax. Plenty of activities to do around the property. The house is well decorated and has a pool table. Highly recommended.
