• Never seen house in this condition!

  We were very excited about our trip to the mountains. Unfortunately, everything was ruined from the very first minute.

  As soon as we walked into the house, we were shocked. We have never seen a rental property this dirty before.

  Let me explain step by step.

  First — the constant camera monitoring. The hosts appear to be watching cameras all the time and messaging us about absolutely trivial situations. We are adults who came to relax, yet it felt like we were constantly being supervised. You simply do not feel safe or comfortable.

  The house is filled with interior devices that appear to have cameras. We ended up unplugging all devices inside the house for privacy. Please be aware.

  Second — the cleanliness. The house was very dirty. We have photos.

  Dirty dishes in the cabinets, including dead flies inside some of them. Floors not properly cleaned.

  Supplies were completely insufficient:

  • One roll of toilet paper for a week, plus partially used rolls left from previous guests.

  • One very small tube of shower gel for two people for an entire week.

  • One towel per person for the whole stay.

  • No laundry detergent. If you want to wash your only towel — you must buy detergent yourself.

  • You must buy your own firewood if you want to use the indoor fireplace.

  Now the most serious issue — safety.

  The porch was not cleared of ice and was not treated with sand or salt. Extremely dangerous.

  The driveway is long and uphill. It was also not cleared or treated. We asked for it to be cleaned and were told that “careful driving is the driver’s responsibility.”

  We slid multiple times trying to get out of the property. This is very unsafe and unacceptable for a mountain rental during winter.

  In the basement (-1) bedroom, the heating system blows extremely hot air directly near the bed and cannot be adjusted. It was unbearable, and we had to sleep with the windows open in winter.

  Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.

  My advice to the hosts: instead of watching guests on cameras, please come and inspect the actual condition of your property.

  - Our home only has exterior security cameras, which are disclosed in the listing and used to monitor outside areas and house rule compliance. There are no cameras or recording devices inside the home, and we’re sorry if this created any concern about privacy during your stay.
  - The home is professionally cleaned prior to each arrival, and we’ve followed up with our cleaning team to reinforce our expectations so the home is fully prepared for incoming guests.
  - We stock the home with starter supplies for guests, including multiple rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, towels, basic toiletries, and firewood available at the property. These items are intended to help guests get settled at the start of their stay.
  - The driveway and entrance are serviced by a snow removal vendor after snowfall, and each level of the home has its own thermostat so guests can easily adjust the temperature for their comfort.

• Family getaway

  My family, friends and I had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful home in Vermont Nestled away in the forest up on a mountain. The home was very well stocked with appliances and supplies. Definitely plenty of space for a large family. Rooms were spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was fantastic and the children absolutely had such a great time there. There are several floors and stairs can be an issue in regards to older people and or very young children. Definitely coming back ❤️
