• beautiful view on sunset lake

  This property has potential to be something very special. when you enter the wall of slinging doors takes your breath away, however the dirty finger and hand prints on glass was disturbing. The mattress on beds were squeaky and hard as a rock. also no pillowcases, stains on thin cheap duvets. The deck furniture was also cheap , uncomfortable, worn. The lights had spider webs, and smell of dead mouse in downstairs. With the cleaning fee of $350, you would expect it to be clean and fresh.

  - Our cleaning team is very thorough, but we’ll make sure they pay extra attention to glass surfaces and light fixtures to avoid any missed spots like fingerprints or cobwebs.
  - We always provide fresh linens, including pillowcases, and have confirmed everything is cleaned and replaced between stays. We'll also review any stained duvets to ensure they meet our high standards.
  - The mattresses are medium-firm to accommodate a range of preferences, but we understand comfort is personal and regret they weren't to your liking.
  - The Adirondack chairs on the deck are a regional staple and made from durable fiberwood. While they may not be brand new, we’ll inspect them to ensure they remain comfortable and in good condition.
  - As the property is located in a rural area, we do have regular pest control, but we'll continue to monitor closely for any potential issues to keep the home fresh and inviting for all guests.

• Great Family Retreat

  A wedding brought us to Orwell and the cabin was just what we needed and some for our family. What a beautiful home tucked away in a private area. The host have such a family friendly home with activities for all ages. East to communicate with. Make sure to check in while still daylight, tight road going up to the cabin.

• Lake house

  Location and views were great. The house was not clean - homeowner had shoes and paint cans in pantry. Two of the patio umbrellas were broken and water pressure was poor at best.

  Hi Elizabeth, thank you for your review. We’re glad you enjoyed the location and the views, but we're sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations. The homeowner wanted to address the concerns you raised:
  -The cleanliness of the home is a top priority, and we apologize if it fell short. We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed addressed. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home.
  -The shoes and paint cans were stored in a closet near the entrance, not the pantry.
  -We weren’t aware that two of the patio umbrellas were broken, as they were closed and tied up. After your feedback, one has been replaced, and the other has been removed. Going forward, the property manager will inspect the umbrellas during each turnover to prevent this from happening again.
  -We're sorry you experienced issues with the water pressure. A brand new filtration system was installed just this summer, and while we didn’t anticipate any issues so soon, we’ve since replaced it to ensure consistent water pressure. We’ve also instructed our cleaners to check the water pressure before guests' arrival.
  We appreciate your feedback so we can continue to improve and help this homeowner provide guests with the 5-star service they are known for. We hope to host you again soon!

• Nice family stay

  The house was very comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and more! The grill worked well too. The view of the lake was wonderful, and having the kayaks a bonus. It would be nice to have a shore access to the lake, but the spot at Sunset Lake is very close by. Everyone was happy to swim at both places. We enjoyed the house very much, and found things as described. The only slight negatives are the road leading in and the access to the dock. Although every effort was made for safety of small children, the stairs leading to the dock are a little scary, as the hand rails have large open spaces. It was a big reach for our petite four year old to reach the rail, and with nothing under the rail, hard to feel secure. Overall, we had a wonderful time!

• Beautiful!

  My cousins and our 2 babies had an amazing time during our stay. The inside was super clean and beautifully designed, and the lake was crystal clear you could see right through to the bottom. We already want to come back next year!
