My wife and adult daughter and I stayed here for six nights in mid-May. We had a great time. It's right on the water at Lake Champlain, 50 minutes from Burlington, Vermont, 90 minutes from Montreal, 50 minutes from Plattsburgh, N.Y. The house is very comfortable and airy, with lots of space, including two dining areas, living room with TV, deck facing the lake and screened-in porch with gas grill. I had to work a bit and the wifi was strong. We cooked in for most of our meals, and the kitchen is very well-equipped. The island has some small general stores with grocery items. Meats were easy to find in these stores, fresh produce a little less so. We stopped at Shaw's grocery in Burlington enroute to the house and stocked up with a week's worth of groceries. We also hit the King Arthur's bakery store in Vermont enroute, and bought some flours we used in making scones, breads and pancakes during the week. The kitchen is very well-equipped with all the appliances, including, surprisingly, a Viking six-burner cooktop with griddle (we used this for pancakes and burgers) and Sub-Zero fridge and freezer. The two baths were very clean and in good working order. The house has close neighbors on both sides, but is otherwise a bit secluded. The wooded "neighborhood" is walkable, but you'll need a car to get to the island shops, restaurants, markets, and other attractions. Great stay, would do again.
