  • Okay, But Overpriced and Quite Disappointing

    OVERALL:

    A lower-end place, but not for $500+ for a 2-night stay.

    POSITIVES:

    Great view from balcony

    Comfy furniture

    The "Guest Contact" person was very available to assist with the (informal) check-in process

    Most kitchen amenities good; plus a great air fryer for, when I was there, the free tater-tots in the freezer!

    AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT:

    The apartment is nowhere near as spacious as the photos make it look- it's cramped with furniture, cabinets and appliances that are too large for the spaces. It was cumbersome to move around the apartment. Bedroom #2, especially, with the twin beds, IS as cramped as it looks in the photos: Hardly usable to comfortably sleep 2.

    Advertised TV (no WiFi/cable) is correct - 3 PBS channels only. More than that would have been nicer, especially with no internet:

    Neither the advertised mobile hotspot nor any other form of internet access was available. The Guest-Contact person, while very nice and as responsive as she could be, had not been informed about this, so she was not able to help. Same for the apartment complex's management company, who suggested I contact the Owner, but Owner's provided email address was invalid (no way to contact Owner).

    While the idea of providing them was thoughtful, most condiments in the refrigerator were 1+ years past expiration date. There was also some sort of un-marked meat in the freezer - didn't touch that.

    Advertised "ice maker" seemed to consist of only 2 small ice-cube trays.

    Toaster oven worked, but had a very old, worn, yucky appearance.

    "Complimentary toiletries" not found (except for toilet paper).

    MANY of the Owner's personal items, effects, and decor were on the walls, in the furniture-drawers, and elsewhere - such as ski-gloves/hats, miscellaneous clothing (including underwear), etc. in the primary bedroom dresser. This place definitely does not give one the feeling of a 'home-away-from-home'.

    Cleanliness was not as expected for a place this expensive: There was a funky odor when the place got hot during the warm summer day while I was out, there were instances of other peoples' hair on the towels and in other places, some grime in the freezer (which I cleaned myself- had-to.), some grime in the countertop dish-drying rack, dust-bunnies here and there, etc.

    I have been considering contesting the credit card charge for my stay for a 50% refund.

    This place is barely a step above a motel rom that happens to have a kitchenette, separated bedrooms, & a nice view.

We're currently awaiting the installation of professional Wi-Fi, but the project is still pending. We will be sure to update the listing once regular, high-speed Wi-Fi is available.
    - We value the cleanliness and condition of our property and our cleaners ensure to professionally service home. Prior to your stay, the cleaning company did an excellent job preparing for your arrival.
    - Communication is important to us and we maintain consistent availability for any questions or concerns. We can always be reached via the valid email address provided in the pre-stay email that guests receive. Many guests have successfully contacted me through this email in the past, so we encourage everyone not to hesitate to use it if assistance is needed or any questions need to be addressed.
    We truly do all we can to deliver an extraordinary stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
