We absolutely loved the house. The only thing that would keep us from staying there again was the shower. The water would stop coming out part way through showering and i had to finish up rinsing off in the tub.

I’m so sorry about the water problem with the shower! I wish you would have reached out but I will definitely get it looked at right away! Thanks for leaving a review!
The home was clean and in a pretty setting. The kitchen was well stocked. It rained the majority of our stay, so we weren’t able to enjoy local outdoor activities like Skyline Drive. We shopped at antique stores in Strasburg, enjoyed good meals at the Strasburg diner and Nino’s pizza. We saw deer and rabbits on the property and cows are all around it. Very pretty country roads to enjoy backroad driving. We are seniors with some minor mobility issues and traveled with our German Shepherd. There were a few things inside the home that we feel worthy of sharing with other seniors. The beds in both bedrooms are very high, making it difficult for us to get in/out of. There is no bathroom on the 2nd floor where the bedrooms are, so going down stairs in the middle of the night is required. The stairs were very slippery in our socks. Our dog was unable/unwilling to do them due to slipping his first try down half the staircase. With this being said, the wood floors are gorgeous, just slick. The TV options were A+ and we never lost cell service or lights during some serious winds. From the time our reservations were made to checking out, Cassie communicated to ensure things were going smoothly. This level of attention was appreciated. If you enjoy historic properties, this one is worth a stay.
Wow, what an incredible property. We booked at the last minute, and I can’t believe it isn’t booked all the time. Beautiful, peaceful, and so relaxing. WiFi worked great for the couple of days I needed to work. Tons of gorgeous areas to sit inside and out. And when people say well-stocked, they are not kidding!! FYI, make sure the run the water lines when you come in, especially if there was a break in occupancy before your stay. I’m assuming the house is on a well, and the initial run was grody (just like our house gets if we’re away a week or more). It’s nothing terrible, just turn the taps on when you’re unloading and you’ll be fine.

The decor fits the locale and age of the home. There is plenty to do nearby or just relax in the peace and quiet of the property. We started and ended each day on the front porch. It was so nice to be able to take our pups with us. We look forward to returning!
