The place was overgrown with weeds, didn't look anything like what was advertised in photos, no curtains or shades to keep the hot sun out, I suppose the film on the windows from not being cleaned was sufficient. Wasn't all that clean, swept the kitchen floor and found some broccoli on the floor. Had corn hole boards but no bean bags to go with.
Hi P, we passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We do our very best to uphold high standards of hospitality for our property and provide all of our guests with an exceptional experience. We're truly sorry to hear that you did not have the 5-star stay that we endeavor for all of our guests. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review and we truly appreciate your valuable input.
- As we value the cleanliness and condition of our property, we've already taken care of the weeds since your stay. In addition, we've communicated with our cleaning team to ensure they address the cleanliness concerns immediately.
- In regards to the curtains and blinds, they're in place in every room except for one window in the bunk bedroom. Rest assured, we're adding the missing one right away.
- It's important to us that all of our amenities are available for guest use and we're happy to share that bean bags for the cornhole game are on their way.
Your feedback means a lot to us, and we're fully committed to making our property even better based on your suggestions. We do all we can to make our home the best possible experience, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
The house is very nice, clean and spacious. We were happy with the inside of the house. Please note that the den is located inside the master bedroom and not in the living room. It’s a good space if you need to put a crib/pack and play or have you get kids that you want to sleep in the same room as you.
The house is not riverfront, but the property is. You have to walk 5 minutes to get to the river. The river is very shallow and nice to enjoy, however it’s not a good place to start tubing because there are a lot of rocks and one of our tubes popped and we had to get out through a neighbor’s property next to the river and walk back to the house. It’s better to drive down a few minutes down the river if you are planning to go tubing. Btw, firewood and some cleaning supplies were too.
We truly enjoyed our stay. The property was lovely. A few things I would recommend though. 1. Do some maintenance on the outside like the ramp to the shed and the well top. Easy cheap fixes and that was the first thing we saw. 2. The sitting in the family room is so uncomfortable. I noticed some of the other listings they have are a lot nicer, updated, and look like they are cleaner and more comfy. 3. Don’t be so stingy with supplies. 3 dish squares for a 4 night stay and a portion of a paper towel roll. 4. Needs a deep clean. The important things were clean like the kitchen and bathrooms. Overall it looked clean but the view could have been much better with clean windows and when my earphone rolled under the bed…well might want to have the cleaning crew move the beds and vacuum under there. Again overall it is a great property and perfectly fine house. We would stay again if we were in the area but if the other properties were available we would try to get those for the real couches and what looks like nicer game rooms.

We are grandparents and stayed for the weekend with our thee grandchildren, ages 9, 13 and 15. The river was a bit of a hike in front of the house but it was a very fun spot. We explored the clear, shallow waters for places to shoot through the rapids. The house was plenty big and comfortable. It could still use a little updating. It would also be great if the outdoor picnic table had a sun umbrella. These were minor things. Overall we really enjoyed the outdoor spaces and the ease of getting to the caverns and Luray.
Nice
