My sister and I came for a 3 day getaway. When we got there, we were locked out. It was pouring rain and we had to wait for The owner to go through HIS part of the house to unlock it from the inside! There was no lock on the door leading downstairs to our unit to keep him from coming down anytime, yet there was a lock on his side to keep us out of the upstairs! We Felt very unsafe there at night since we are both seniors. A cleaning fee was attached to my cost that I paid but the unit wasn’t cleaned for me upon entering. Sticky stains on the kitchen counter, strands of black hair in tub, spots of toothpaste on bathroom mirror, freshly cut hair in the barstool seat. Coffee pot had mold in it. Playing cards and other dirt and trash behind the TV. (Which kept cutting in and out while trying to watch) couldn’t enjoy the TV programs at all. There was so much dust covering everything that my asthma flared up and I couldn’t breathe inside the house. The sheets were clean but old and faded with bleach stains all over them. I slept on the pullout couch and itched all night and until I took a shower. We were simply forced to cut our trip short due to our discomfort level. We couldn’t even get the sliding patio door open because it’s off track. I’m surprised that VRBO would sponsor a rental such as this. No standards whatsoever! Disgusting!

While the view is beautiful and we overall enjoyed the stay, it could have been cleaner. I was disappointed with the condition of the bathroom and lack of towels. There was also no way to control the temperature. Also, no "toaster oven" as listed but rather just a toaster, which makes a huge difference when you buy food to heat in a toaster oven. The property is located on a beautiful lake and could be wonderful if some of the money charged for the stay is put back in to the little things.

Frank was a great host. The central location on the lake is hard to beat. Would highly recommend staying here.
