A Beautiful Gem on the Water
5/5 We had such a wonderful stay at this property, The Lazy Oyster. Our host made check-in a breeze and answered all of my questions ahead of time. The house was perfectly clean and decorated very tastefully. We had everything that we could need from good quality towels and sheets, to detergent, dish soap, tp, spices, games, puzzles and appliances. The view from the sunroom is fantastic and our teenage sons loved fishing and crabbing from the dock. We also did a lot of kayaking and enjoyed the hot tub. We had enough space to spread out but we still felt that closeness that you want on a family vacation. We did venture out to nearby towns for shopping and exploring. Yorktown was about an hour and half away and that was a wonderful historic trip. We visited a local winery and the nearby beach and fishing village. The grocery store is only about 15 minutes away. I highly recommend The Lazy Oyster if you are looking for a nice, relaxing location with the option to venture out for other entertainment. The view is wonderful! Thank you so much to our hosts for making this beautiful location available and for making our stay so memorable.

Dream Cottage on the water
5/5 The cottage was beautifully restored and decorated. I could imagine the generations of families that enjoyed the place. Our hosts were wonderful and very helpful.The only downside was the outside deck has not been restored.I would definitely recommend this place to someone seeking a quiet getaway.

Beautiful property!
5/5 So beautiful and peaceful, one of the nicest vacations we've had in awhile. It's really kind of the middle of nowhere so if that isn't your vibe, then you may not like it, but we really enjoyed our stay. Michelle was super easy to communicate with also and very helpful with the many questions I had beforehand.
