  • Nice place.

It was secluded on what appeared to be old farm land, close to the York River. Beautiful property. It was closer to Yorktown, than Williamsburg. This a great spot to disconnect from the outside world for a while.

  • Spring Break Vacation

Home is in a quite country setting, where we saw deer each evening grazing in the field across the road. We were close to the river with a Navy base across the way where we could hear retreat being played each night when the flag was lowered. Great setting.

  • A charming country cottage

    5/5

We certainly enjoyed staying in the cottage! It was clean, warm and cozy. The beds were comfortable. The library was our favorite room- we enjoyed the collection of books. We cooked and baked in the sweet kitchen, no problem. Walking in the property’s woods was wonderful. We saw woodpeckers, herons, and a herd of deer. Our golden retriever made good friends with a lovely black dog. Provided trail maps to nearby Machicomoco state park were helpful too. Excellent stay!

  • The Way Life Should Be!

    5/5

Our vacation to Frogmore was the best trip we've ever taken as a family. Our kids are still talking about it and my wife and I are planning when we can make a trip back. It's a perfect Virginian cottage nestled up on a hill of the Frogmore farm. We woke up to amazing sunrises, had our coffee, listened to the gentle sounds of a quiet life, got the fire pit lit to warm ourselves as we had coffee. The kids would climb in the trees, we'd take walks on the paths in the woods and then head into Yorktown or Williamsburg for the day. At night, we'd come back to make dinner, let the kids run free and have another fire outside. And we wanted to be back in time to walk down by the water to see the most gorgeous sunsets. At night, we'd put the little ones down and our 7 and 8 yr old would play board games with us. Then my wife and I would drink a glass of wine and enjoy the peace of Frogmore. The house was so beautiful with built-in bookshelves filled with books for adults and kids. We honestly felt so at peace, so relaxed and amazed to see the kids happier and actually playing outside and with each and getting along. We didn't watch tv the entire time and no one even asked for it! We will make it an annual vacation. I also can't say enough good things about the owner - an outstanding host! Lastly, there was a review about the house not being clean - that couldn't be further from the truth for our visit. We are very particular about cleanliness and we felt so at ease, so at home. Our time at Frogmore is the way life should be!

My daughters and I had a very good stay at this property. It was clean and very well appointed with kitchen supplies, paper products and linens. The notebook left by the owner was very helpful.
