  My sister and I, both in our 60s, spent a few days in this cottage as part of our yearly Sister Vacation tradition. We had such a nice time! Upon entering the cottage, the first thing you notice is how exceptionally clean it is. It smelled amazing and was spotless. The amenities included are top-notch. Towels were plentiful, and the linens and super comfortable beds made for very peaceful sleep. We utilized the kayaks (life vests also provided). The setting is so peaceful beautiful. It's a very quiet neighborhood. We grilled on the fire pit which has a grill top. Be careful, though, the bottom of the fire pit is starting to rust through. It works if you keep your charcoal to one side. Communication with host was exceptional. We had terrible storms when we first checked in and ended up losing power. Because the house has well water, we lost running water as well. The cottage caretaker, Kim, and her son-in-law, Brian came to our rescue. Brian brought us jugs of water, extra flashlights, and bags of ice to save our food. Their concern and service went above and beyond and we were so appreciative! Thanks again Kim and Brian! Don't miss out on this amazing property. We hope to return in the future!

• Quick getaway

  We had a great time in Gloucester. The views of the water were awesome! We really enjoyed the restaurants on Main St. Very quiet and peaceful.

• Amazing property!

  This was seriously one of the best rentals we've ever stayed!

  It was very clean, all the "extras" were of great quality and very well thought-out....extra blankets, fully stocked kitchen with every appliance you could need, ample towels and bath supplies, complete outdoor rec gear; just to name a few.

  The neighborhood was quiet and the view was amazing! I can't say enough about the quality and attention to detail this house had.
