• What an amazing stay and beach home

  I would give this place a 50 star review if I could. This home is absolutely amazing. A few light housekeeping issues that was a possible overlook on the house keeping end. The home owner was absolutely amazing. This place felt so homey. Was so peaceful and serene. We enjoyed our 3 night, 4 day stay from start to finish. Found everything needed in the home and the home owner was so open to suggestions on a few missing items kitchen wise. Found everything in working order and beautifully decorated. Loved the fact it catered to the elderly and handicap. The ramps for our mother's wheelchair helped so much, they can be found in the shelf in the beach shed. All and all this place had everything we could imagine our vacation to be.. absolutely amazing and will book again and again!!

  This beach cottage is simply beautiful, the owner thought of every detail that would make the stay relaxing and enjoyable. The communication was very friendly and prompt, and the welcoming gifts were so kind and thoughtful. There are lots of places to eat near by, but trust me you will want to bring your own groceries. So that you will be able to truly relax and take in all the cottage has to offer.

  Like the private beach or enjoying a glass of wine or coffee on the deck, over looking the water or simply just rocking in the chairs, in the sun room .

• Amazing stay

  I stayed at the property with my daughter and 12 yo grandson. We had an amazing time. The views alone are worth the stay and the house is spacious but cozy and well decorated. Marilyn was a pleasure to chat with (via text) and was very responsive to questions and concerns. She left a welcome bottle of wine along with beach pail and shovel, bubbles and a bucket hat for my grandson. Marilyn is a very, very thoughtful hostess. I wish I had booked more days! We will certainly be back.

• Peaceful Riverside Getaway

  The cottage was spotless, well-stocked, spacious and located in a quiet waterside neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting on the private beach, paddle boarding in the calm Potomac River, riding bikes, eating crabs under the covered picnic table, and playing games and watching fireworks from in the screened in deck overlooking the water. We ventured into town several times and loved Colonial Beach Brewing, The Ice Cream Hut, and enjoyed two delicious meals at High Tides Restaurant & Tiki Bar. The owner was easy to communicate with, friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return!

  I was very impressed with the cottage. It was adorable and super clean. The view was great. We had 4 adults and 2 small children with plenty of space for everyone. Marilyn was super helpful and accommodating. Plus, she has thought of all the little niceties that make your stay go from good to outstanding. We will stay there again.
