This cabin was beautifully restored and furnished. If complete solitude is desired, this is it. We came supplied with our own food and beverages. There is no running down to the corner store. We visited Monticello, Natural Bridge, James Monroe residence, all easily reached for day trips. Buchanan itself had an antique store and a Grill, both fun to visit. Otherwise, don’t waste your time.
The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and so cozy, and the property is brings so much peace. Plenty of kitchen supplies available to make meals, which we did a lot of. There is satellite TV available, and the nearest spot I found for any cell phone signal was at, Mill Creek Campground. Be sure to take a hike on the Appalachian Trail, which is about 4 miles down from the cabin. We loved Roanoke! Really cute downtown area in Roanoke. Be sure to checkout Natural Bridge too. I would definitely come back to the cabin. I did meet the owner. Really nice guy. He told me he did the remodeling of the cabin and his wife did the decorating. Amazing work you two!! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

It is a beautiful location with the pleasant sound of the stream nearby! Our children loved playing around the creek and enjoying time on the porch and time by the campfire. We would highly recommend this place, especially if you are happy to be away from WiFi and Cell Phone Service and enjoy some quiet :-)
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was wall maintained and comfortable. The night sky here is a must see!
