• Lovely cottage

  A lovely cottage on a slough. Very convenient to Zimmerman Marine if you need work done on your yacht. Nice walk out to Mobjack. Isolated and quiet.

• Quaint and very comfortable cottage

  My spouse and I used this property while attending a large family Thanksgiving in nearby Mathews, VA. The property was easy to find and quite private, with only one other house in view. Check-in was as directed (but there was no clue how to lock the door when leaving --push and hold star button). The house is definitely old, but refreshingly renovated with bright, comfortable rooms. All appliances/features worked as expected, and they even had double-filtered water so there is no need to bring along bottled water. The only criticism we have is that the squeaky hinges to the bathroom door need oiled. We did not get to use the kayaks to paddle out to Mobjack Bay -- so we will definitely be back for that in warmer weather! Many thanks for letting us stay at your lovely and comfortable property.

  The old home was full of character and charm! The location is very private and quiet! Really enjoyed our morning coffee on the dock! Speaking of coffee, we left a small can and a coffeemaker for the next guest! We drink too much coffee to use the French Press everyday😊. The only change that needs to be made on the listing is that there isn’t a washer and dryer! Thanks for sharing your delightful home!
