When you reach the entrance to this apartment, you think you are standing in front of a building that is being demolished. But when you climb the steep steps to the first floor, you suddenly and unexpectedly find yourself in a spacious, clean, lovingly and fully equipped holiday apartment that completely matches the description. Only the pots and pans were completely worn out and completely dirty. We sent the landlord photos. He didn't respond.
Unfortunately, the landlord did not manage to respond to our multiple emails and calls and send us the code for access to the apartment in time before check-in. Evolve was also unfortunately unable to help at all. So we drove to Salina, extremely unsure, on a whim, not knowing whether we would even be able to use the apartment we had booked or whether we would have to look for other accommodation on site. At around 6 p.m. we unexpectedly managed to reach the landlord by phone, get the code and enter the apartment. We would have liked to have avoided the stress caused by the landlord's failure and the additional time and money; and we would have liked to have had dinner in the apartment, but in the unclear situation we hadn't bought anything and had to go out to eat. More unnecessary extra costs for us!
It would also have been nice to find the advertised "Welcome Book", then we might have been able to use the huge TV with its 5 (!) remote controls, or not sweat ourselves to death in the apartment at 30° because we only found the control unit for the air conditioning by chance on the second day and therefore made rather unsuccessful attempts to sleep on the first night with the windows open and the never-ending street noise. The second night was better, but the air conditioning is far too weak and far too loud.
All in all, a rather mixed experience.
From the outside it looks kind of sketchy but the place was actually nice. Large kitchen, nice shower. Bedroom 1 had a huge bed thar my daughter said was comfortable. Bedroom 2 had a queen size 'meet in the middle' bed that wasn't the best but it was ok.
The stairs arevery steep.
