  • Communication problems with property manager

    3/5

WiFi password in info provided via email was wrong. With no cell service we had to drive 18 miles into Beaver to make a call to get the correct password. The manager was not readily available so we cooled our heals until she could be reached. In the meantime we bought candles to override the smell in the property. There was no info anywhere on how to turn on the fireplace/heater (hidden switch). When a circuit blew, we had great difficulty in tracking anyone down to help us find the switchbox. Aside from these problems the property was okay. We do not plan to return.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Byron, we want our guests to have a smooth and comfortable stay, so we’re sorry to hear about the challenges you faced. After sharing your feedback with the homeowner, they’d like to provide some clarification:
    - We have confirmed the correct WiFi password was included in the pre-stay email, additionally, it is available in the welcome book on the coffee table.
    - We were unaware of any odor in the home but have met with the cleaning team to ensure the space is fresh for future guests.
    - We take communication seriously and we responded promptly to all questions regarding the space heater and fuse box as soon as we were contacted.
We appreciate your feedback and will use it to continue improving the guest experience.

  • Exterior maintenance is non-existent

    2/5

While the condo is in decent shape inside ( it is missing a can opener of any kind, and the oven is in need of a cleaning, and the electric fireplace has no instructions so it will take you a while to get the hang of using the control panel on the wall), the property on the outside is not maintained well at all. There is a dog waste trash can right at the entrance that is overflowing with people's condo trash and it appears never gets emptied by any staff so you have to walk up to your door an pass by disgusting trash.. the parking lot is covered in ice, making walking up to the entryway treacherous, and there is a sloped snow covered & frozen path leading to the porch.. it really needs some salt and a bit of shoveling regularly and it would be so much easier to get to the condo's entryway.. Also, people let their dogs use the bathroom everywhere at the top of that entrway, so there is alot of dog waste all over the snow and ice leading to the condo... and the stairs and small outdoor community area is never shoveled or cleared in any way, so you can't use those stairs to access the ski in/out access point. Overall, if you're ok with the poorly maintained outdoor area, the condo is ok, but you might be better off looking for another location.

  • Beautiful location!

    4/5

I would give this location 5 stars had it not been for the following:

Water went out for about four hours which was a slight inconvenience but management took action quickly and got it resolved.

Lots of dust under the beds which got our allergies going.

No chairs available to sit outside our unit on the deck. (Will remember to bring our own next time.)

No advertised Keurig, although there was a small coffee pot.

Otherwise, the condo was beautiful as well as the surrounding area. The staff at the General Store, Bar and Grill were so friendly and helpful! Merchandise at the General Store was lacking so make sure you bring enough supplies or you will have to drive down to Beaver city. Puffer Lake was our go-to for fishing and kayaking as it was super close and very, very beautiful! We definitely would stay here again!

  • Nice updated condo

    4/5

We enjoyed staying here for many reasons, location to the lodge as well as to the skiing. Condo building is older, but this unit has been updated and we very much enjoyed the hardwood floors, WiFi and live streaming, and comfortable beds. The only issues we had with the unit was its overall cleanliness, as we found dust bunnies in every room, a dirty oven, and a dirty shower curtain. The location is great and within walking distance to the lodge, but the driveway is a bit steep so chains or 4wd is necessary if you’re caught in a two foot snow storm as we were. Overall we were very happy and will likely stay here again when we return to Eagle Point
