The house was easy to locate, and the check-in process was a breeze. There’s plenty of parking available on their driveway and we were able to charge our EV, thanks to two outlets on the side of the patio. We got really lucky with the weather and made the most of it by enjoying the pool and hot tub. The firepit was a highlight — we made s’mores, which was a lot of fun. We also fired up the BBQ and cooked Korean beef, wings, and steak in the smoke pit, though we brought our own charcoal! The house itself is lovely, with a spacious kitchen, living room, and dining area. It was the perfect spot for watching TV, doing puzzles, reading, and sharing family meals.Rooms were clean, comfortable and we enjoyed our 2 night stay!

Our family of 4 (+ our dog) booked this villa just a few weeks before our stay. We live just 90 minutes away in New Braunfels and made a last-minute decision to get away the last weekend of summer vacation. This home had everything we needed to just relax and lay low for a few days, without the hassle and expense of boarding our goldendoodle while we were gone.
We spent countless hours (day and night) in the pool and playing board games, and we built a fire in the fire pit where we roasted marshmallows for s'mores. The propane BBQ pit was appreciated - we grilled steaks and steamed crab legs one night. The kitchen had pretty much everything we could need for all of that, including a solid spice offering and Keurig coffee pods.
There were a few floats available on the back porch for use in the pool, and they have lots of pool towels in the utility room, so no need to bring those! The pool was WARM. No hold-your-breath-and-jump-in-quick needed!
The house felt cozy and secluded. The pictures don't do the interior justice! Even with homes nearby, the trees shielded us from view and we hardly heard a peep.
Ruben was very responsive and helpful when I asked him several questions after booking and also as I was packing. He reached out to check in while we were there and he offered to turn on the hot tub for us...it was way too hot for that!
A few "heads up" items -
There are lots of sprinklers needed to keep the grass all lush and green around the house and pool. If you leave items on the back porch overnight, they will likely get wet. We parked in the driveway out front and never moved it during our stay, so the sprinklers gave our car some stingy water spots...you can park in the official "parking" spots to avoid that.
There were several large (nonvenomous) spiders hanging out in their webs on the back porch, so if you're not used to country living, they might surprise you. We didn't bother them and they didn't bother us. We called the one with her web built between the centermost columns "Charlotte." There was a pretty big one on the stack of yard games, but it was too hot to get out of the pool during the day to play cornhole anyway, so we didn't have a reason to fight him off.
The welcome book warned about the water having a sulfur smell when it's really hot outside, and there was a faint smell when we were there (specifically when using the hot water). You may want to bring bottled water for drinking, which we had already planned for anyway.
Great for a girls weekend. Property is out in the country and you are totally secluded. Pool and hot tub were awesome. House is cute and nicely furnished.
