Simply perfect!
5/5 I cannot overstate how wonderful this place is! Once you climb the stairs to the totally private apartment over the carriage house you are in a gorgeous place with pleasant, expansive views in every direction of the historic residential area where it’s located, as well as a couple of stained glass windows to add charm. My wife and I chose this place to celebrate our anniversary and it was perfect!
It is elegant, charming and romantic, but practical too, as it has 3 large tv’s, a studio/extra sleeping area, a very ample bathroom with a separate shower and tub. Also a comfortable living room, a small but useful kitchen and a dining table for 6. The main bedroom is comfy with a king-sized bed. The whole place is enchanced with very high ceilings (Í’d say at least 10, maybe 11 feet high). This is a peaceful, quiet area.
Its central location just a couple of blocks from Broadway made it easy to reach any place we wanted to visit with a 10-minute drive.
Our host, John, answered my messages right away, and was extremely kind and helpful in every way! We were even received with a plate of blueberry muffins, great for next’s day’s breakfast!
I seriously doubt that you could find a nicer place in Tyler. This is the place to stay!

Everything we hoped for!
5/5 My wife and I wanted a nice place to stay to celebrate our anniversary, and Charnwood was exactly what we were hoping to find! You have pleasant, expansive views of the historic residential area out of every window in all four directions.
The whole apartment is charming and well-planned, with a comfortable bedroom, an ample bathroom with a great shower and separate tub, and 3 large tv's throughout. The kitchen is small but useful. There are even a couple of stained-glass windows!
It's centrally located. You can reach anywhere in 10-12 minutes by car.
Our host, John, was very attentive and helpful! We had a minor personal emergency which he responded to immediately.
If you want a peaceful, romantic place to stay in Tyler, this is it!
