  This unit is perfect!! It is super clean. Stocked with everything you need for a fantastic stay! The location on the corner has a great view. Floor plan works beautifully for multiple guest. Only thing we did not notice was chairs for the beach… but those are available at the reception desk of Sun Tide III. I would recommend this unit to anyone coming to South Padre Island.

• Lovely condo but property never has working elevators

  Year after year this property has a problem with their elevators. The North elevator was down for atleast 4 days and the South elevator went down as well. People were trapped on floor 10 and fire department had to assist them. A man in a wheel chair could not get down off 8 floors. This created a huge problem with 120 units on this property.

• Suntide III elevators don’t work!

  Great condo all around. It’s a shame it’s in a facility that won’t fix their elevator. It’s been down over a year? The room was great. Clean up to date and great A/C. All amenities included. The room is located right next to the elevator that doesn’t work. Long lines. Took the stairs a couple of times from the 8th floor which is hard when taking item to and from the beach

  The condo was very clean, well equipped, and had comfortable beds. The space feels large, especially with the corner balcony and extra light, and the view is amazing. The Suntide III building itself was less well updated and maintained than the condo… There’s an elevator just outside the door that seems to be regularly broken, based on a previous review. It was working when we got there but was out of order for about a day - you can use the elevator at the other end of the building, but there are usually other people waiting. We had issues with hot water in the shower - sometimes it was only lukewarm. Our biggest complaint was that there was a lot of noise from the upstairs unit. Our first night there, they seemed to be having a party, and the noise lasted till about midnight. The sound of chairs being moved on the floor is particularly loud and grating, and especially above the master bedroom. <br />

  This was our first visit to South Padre, and we were pleased overall - the water is amazingly clear, and the beach doesn’t allow cars so is more family friendly and cleaner than any other TX beach we’ve been to. The evening was low tide, so the exposed sandbars made for a perfect calm, clear, shallow area with no waves that’s basically a perfect kids’ wading pool. You can rent an umbrella and chairs for $30 from the front desk at Suntide III, but people set up shelters on the beach about two deep, and the building seems to set up the umbrellas far back…if you’re wanting an unobstructed view of the water, maybe specifically ask to be set up closer or rent from one of the other places? <br />

  Boca Chica beach is worth a visit if you’re interested in SpaceX, but otherwise it’s a driving beach that looks a lot like Port A (pretty crowded when we went on a Sunday, cars parked all up and down the beach; similar water quality to Port A - S Padre was much more clear).

• Beautiful and updated condo

  We loved how updated and modern the unit was. The views were awesome and the condo had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for our family and everyone was very comfortable. The pools and jacuzzis were nice and the direct access to the beach was very convenient. We would stay in this condo again if we returned to South Padre.
