"The Roost" is a great getaway for a truly relaxing weekend in the Country. A feeling of peace and quiet in a beautiful setting.

The Roost is situated on a hill behind a locked gate overlooking fields of lush foliage and farm animals. The large porches are the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the view. The inside is pristine and well stocked with everything you need for a relaxing or active vacation. The only negative might be the low water pressure as is common with farmhouses. It will definitely not be a deterrent for future visits as we plan to stay again and again! We loved every minute of our stay!

"The Roost" is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the country side. Upon entering the premise we were pleasantly surprised.
All the pictures that were featured on the website are exactly what you see when you first drive up. We were able to sit and enjoy the natural beauty of the countryside and the
sounds of nature including the cows conversing with each other.
The kitchen is well equipped with eating utensils, pots, pans, dishes. This home is off the beaten path, therefore, the only traffic noise is from the vehicles that pass down the lane on the side of the house. Beds were also very comfortable. If you are looking for country atmosphere, this place is for you.
We would definitely return if we are in the area.
Great rural setting with sparkling night skies. The house is comfortable, stylish and ready for fun. The Painted Church Tour is gorgeous and full of Texas history information. We'll be back.
