  We were supposed to stay two nights, but we stayed only one night. The property had an outdoor camera pointing inside the house to see what is going on inside. I received a couple of texts from the owner telling me that I had a long table and it looked like we had a possible DJ inside the house. So she supposed we had a party there, which was not true. We had only a family dinner for New Year and a personal speaker. Owner invaded our privacy, so we did not feel comfortable and decided to leave the property the next day. Owner refused to reimburse the money for the second night. The house policy specifies that the property has an exterior camera, attached to a tree, facing the back of the house and the dock, and it specifies that this camera does not look into any interior spaces, which is not true and the owner confirmed me that she could not see inside the house except at night. Our New Year Family dinner and stay there was ruined.

  Hi Diana, the homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following details:
  - We will be adjusting the position of our outdoor security camera since in the evening when house lights are on, the security camera can partially see the eating area and seating area only.
  - So the evening of your stay we checked the cameras one time and noticed the doors hanging wide open, an extra table and several chairs, and also what looked to be a DJ setup with speakers.
  - We take each guest's stay with the utmost care to make sure they have a great experience. We offer lots of amenities and make sure each guest is left with a special treat.
  - However, it is also our responsibility as the homeowner to make sure safety, house rules, and consideration of our surrounding neighbors are respected.
  - We went the extra mile to make sure you all were taken care of. We put up a Christmas tree, decorated the house for the holidays, and left a fun hot chocolate bar out for all of you.
  - While we do regret our home was not up to your expectations, we’re happy to share that no issues were reported by our most recent guests.
  - We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have a wonderful stay!

  6 of us stayed here for a short “stay-cation” while playing in a couples tennis tournament at Walden. Great spot and excellent communication with the property management. Would definitely repeat!

  House was very cool insides. It Had all the cooking supplies you needed. Enjoy our time there. Great experience first time renting.

• Not totally satisfied

  Entry door threshold loose and broken, this causing a trip hazard.Kitchen tile grout missing in several places.Serious mold in washing machine, we refused to use it.Lower level bathroom shower light hanging out of ceiling,.You have to be in the shower with shower door closed in order to turn on the water. Because shower head is pointed at the door, not movable and sprays onto the floor. This causes you to stand in the shower in cold water until it warms up. All registers for Hvac are filthy.Transition molding from tile to hardwood floor is loose and coming off, another trip hazard.Living room door to deck threshold is loose and coming apart, another trip hazard.We paid a cleaning fee, and checkout procedure had us remove all the bedding, do all the dishes and take garbage and container to the road.On a positive note, the Lake view was great, neighbors friendly and beds were comfortable, upstair bedrooms were very nice. We expected more for the price point.

  Hi LaVon, we're glad you enjoyed the beautiful view and comfortable beds, but we're sorry other areas of your stay fell short of expectations. After going over your feedback with the homeowners, they wanted to share the following:
  - We’re sorry you were not happy with the house. We were not aware of the threshold being loose, and we'll have it fixed.
  - The washer is not full of mold. It’s a front loader, and a small area on the rubber that is an inch wide has some mold.
  - The grout lines are thin in the kitchen, but there are no issues.
  - The downstairs bathroom is a round shower, and the shower head does move to the side.
  - The house was built in 1976 and was updated in the ’90s.
  - As is standard for vacation rentals, guests are asked to complete a few small tasks, like removing their own trash, as part of checkout. The cleaning fee goes to a professional service that sanitizes and prepares the home for each new guest.
  The owners do all they can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests!
