We had an amazing stay; breathtaking views, beautiful home, full amenities, comfortable bed.We enjoyed the back deck every evening. The sunrise in the morning with a cup of coffee and the sunset in the evening with a bottle of Texas wine.Only suggestion is a Keurig coffee maker and new lounge chairs on the back deck.Perfect place, thank you for sharing it with us.

This home is stunning, and the views are immaculate. It’s close enough to the Frio that you get a nice drive and won’t be too tired to make it back, but far enough that you aren’t surrounded by rowdy neighbors. It’s secluded and quiet, and immaculately kept. We loved it!

From the owner: "We love that you love the peacefulness of the area! The stars at night are the best in Texas! Thank you, and come back soon."
Overall, the house was cool, but would not recommend and would not stay again. Not clear or transparent about the reality of the road leading to the house. Very steep, very narrow, can’t access home in the rain or a storm. needs to be explained in the listing more clearly and expressed that this road is not great for hauling things on a trailer, or for a car or motorcycle and is good for a small 4wd truck. 4WD recommended needs to be expressed more on the listing clearly and at first glance. The beds are both terrible. The downstairs bed in living room couch is useless the mattress protector was dirty the bed falls through the couch the upstairs bed is hard as a rock and we couldn’t sleep one bit all 4 nights. The instructions for where the laundry room is located is too complicated it is under the house, the basement. All food and drink and condiments for consumption are expired by years and needs to be thrown out. The coffee we accidentally made was expired. Old food left in fridge. Downstairs bathroom doesn’t flush right all the time. Should also say the only way to get into the laundry room is with the key in the lockbox. We were so confused as to where it was and where the key for it was. A/C and heat is awful. Doesn’t get cold, heat just blows air. Very hot at night and the day. Privacy is excellent though. Great neighbors, Judy and Wayne very nice.

Hi Jonnie, we're sorry to hear your stay didn't meet your expectations. After reading your review, the homeowner wanted to share the following:
- We’re updating the listing to clearly note that 4WD is strongly recommended and that the access road may not be suitable for certain vehicles or trailers, especially in poor weather conditions.
- We're sorry to hear the beds didn’t meet your expectations. While the downstairs couch is noted as a sleeper, we’re considering replacing it with a more comfortable option in the future.
- The air conditioning and heat work properly, and we’re sorry you had trouble using them. We have a manual on the coffee table with instructions.
- We apologize for the confusion regarding the laundry room. It will now remain unlocked for easier access.
- We were surprised by the mention of expired condiments and old food, as the fridge is typically cleared between stays. However, we’ll ensure this is more closely monitored moving forward.
We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve the guest experience.
Our Family had an amazing stay, while the weather was cold and windy we enjoyed our stay. We can not wait to book this hidden gem again and again.
When we saw the listing it was exactly what we wanted for our trip and it looks exactly like in the pictures.
We reached bit late and were little overwhelmed by the location as it was dark and nothing nearby.
But the moment we entered we forgot all those and were delighted.
We sat in the patio for couple of hours in the night star gazing and it was unforgettable experience.
As per cabin it is well maintained, well equipped and stocked to welcome guests.
All the artifacts, decor items were so nice.
Sun room is icing on the cake.
Overall we would be definitely coming back and I highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Leakey, Garner state Park and lost Maples.
Evolve made it seem less process right from booking till check out. They sent timely updates.
