The place was setup very nicely and had plenty of rooms and places to sleep. The firepit was nice, kitchen had a lot of stuff, but bring your own stuff just to be sure if you're planning on cooking. We had our family Thanksgiving there. We had to go to the local dollar store and grab some sponges, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and some other basic necessities that we think should've been there. There was no dishwasher soap either, so couldn't use that. Icemaker and water from fridge did not work either, but they had a very nice fridge for your drinks. The tub jets weren't functional at that point in time, so that was disappointing. But overall these things can be easily fixed and shouldn't discourage someone from staying, just putting these things on here for you to be prepared if you're looking to stay.

  • Needs some tender love and care

    3/5

While we enjoyed ourselves here, it was mostly because we were all together as a family to relax and chill out after Christmas.

First what we liked: the beds for the adults were very comfortable, the kitchen dishes and pots & pans were nice, the dining room table was big enough for our whole family and the chairs were very comfortable. And we really enjoyed the fire pit one evening!

While the house kept us warm and safe and dry, it could have been so much better. I just want people to know what they might expect. When we arrived on a cool December afternoon, the house was dark and COLD! I'm talking 60-64 degrees! Not exactly a warm and inviting place like the pictures showed. Many things needed repair - from the dishwasher that wasn't anchored into the cabinet to the towel rack upstairs barely attached to the wall to the front door that was terribly hard to open.

We were disappointed that there was only 2 TV's in the whole house and no streaming services provided or video game consoles for the kids.

Several of the towels were stained or ripped and on the worn out side of luxury. The sheets were very thin on the king size bed where I slept.

We were glad we had brought our own coffee because there wasn't even a K-cup to be found. I will say that we discovered several items lacking and we called our contact person that evening and he delivered those items by 9:00 the next morning, but we didn't notice the lack of coffee.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Terese, we want to make vacation rental easy for everyone, and we're sorry if you were caught off guard. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
    - It’s standard at vacation rentals for the homeowner to provide a starter supply of essentials for guests’ convenience. It's not an industry standard to provide coffee. Guests may have to purchase additional supplies, especially for longer stays or larger groups. We apologize if the items provided did not fit your needs.
    - There is a game console there at our vacation home. It’s an old-school Super Nintendo which works great and is super fun, it’s located in the cabinet in the master bedroom. Also, the number of TVs are shared on our listing and we do offer Roku so guests should be able to use any streaming service and watch Netflix, etc. anytime.
    - We want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously. We wish you had reached out to us during your stay. We would've been more than happy to send our cleaning crew to resolve all of your concerns and make your stay more comfortable.
    - We hope you keep us in mind for your future travels. We’d love to host you the next time you visit! Your feedback assists us in understanding our guests' perspectives and improving wherever possible. Thank you for sharing your review!
