Noise + Smoke

This unit is surrounded by bars + nightclubs that blast music until 2am. Drunk patrons keep the noise going well beyond the bar closures as well. The bar below allows people to smoke indoors, so the entire apartment smelled like cigarettes. On the upside, stopping on the floor at 4am got the people in the bar below to close up shop and go home finally.

Awesome place to stay

This place was awesome. The condo is everything it looked like in the pictures. It's very clean, spacious and modern. It feels like a welcoming home. Great location to Kemah and the surrounding area is a great place to party. The balcony over looks the street and bars. The vibe was great. Brian the host was very nice and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again. I also ordered food from the Monkey Bar and it was delicious. They delivered it upstairs to the condo. Everything was right at our finger tips.

The home was AESTHETICALLY nice, but UNINHABITABLE! :(

Beautiful property by the look of it, however, some clear maintenance issues needed to be addressed prior to this home being ready to have guests. Upon entry, there was a very pungent odor of mildew/ mold. My husband and I investigated the area where the odor was strongest and located a closet door in the laundry room that was completely covered in what appeared to be MOLD. I am no expert in mold, but certainly could not wipe it off. As I continued to look around, each vent and many areas of the ceiling also had this mold. This unfortunately triggered my elderly mother's asthma, and she has since struggled to get her breathing regulated. We got to the property after midnight so we had to rest as best we could. At this time, as I pulled the covers back, bugs were resting on the pillows, beds had ripped covers, and the provided WIFI codes did not work. I took pictures of EVERYTHING.

I advised the owner immediately by email but expected a delay since it was so late. He did not respond the next morning around 8 am via text message or email, but he answered when I called (red flag). Bryan SOUNDED very helpful and came by that morning to check the property out, he was quite obviously defensive of his property and explained the amount of rain is what caused the mildew. He offered another property but that one was not fully furnished and at this point, we needed ALL amenities originally agreed upon. We advised Bryan this and he again, was OPEN to assist. He asked us NOT to call Evolve and advised he would (RED FLAG). We got there after 12:30 am and were out by 11 am.

*Some VERY important things to note: the one flight of stairs described are VERY STEEP. If you have an elder or older person, I highly DO NOT recommend it. It is also located in the HEART of the bar scene of Kemah, so we entered the property with other drunk stragglers walking the street. I have a 7-year-old, and it did NOT give "family friendly" at all. This property would be GREAT for a young, party crowd, not a settled, CHRISTIAN, middle-aged family.

I was promised a refund for our stay in person and over the phone, but Bryan fought it once we left. He lost by default, and we were refunded by Evolve. He lied and was not as cooperative as he presented himself to be, and I was greatly disappointed. I was NOT going to leave a bad review but was left with no choice.

Once Bryan learns what SERVICE truly is, he will be ready to Host.

Great Spot for Kemah Experience

This spot is right over Monkey Bar. All the eateries outside of the boardwalk are within a block, all the bars are within a block, coffee shops within a block, and it’s only a few minutes walk to the boardwalk.

Highly recommend for families with older kids for sure, maybe not the little ones cause it is loud Thursday thru Saturday nights with the bars around. A little hard to fall asleep but not as noisy as I thought.

Perfect perfect spot for couples or groups having a fun night out.

We booked it for a wedding at Landry’s and the guts got ready here and it was perfect.
