This lakefront home is perfect for families seeking a peaceful retreat. It is situated in a rural neighborhood, with the closest shopping location in Groesbeck being approximately a 30-minute drive away. (As such, it's recommended that you bring all groceries and supplies with you upon arrival.) But you also have few reasons to leave, with a dock, direct access to the lake, and a large grassy lawn right out back.

Fishing weekend

Perfect Lake Retreat!
5/5 We stayed at the Lakefront Getaway on Lake Limestone over a holiday weekend. The house is ideal for family gatherings to relax and have fun outdoors. It's located in a quiet lakeside neighborhood where people often take leisurely walks (or runs!) on the country roads to enjoy the calm atmosphere. We liked to walk down and say hello to the cows down the road in the mornings, and we also spotted a variety of birds, turtles, frogs, and deer.
The lakefront of the home is tucked into a small cove along the main channel of Lake Limestone with protection from southerly wind/waves, making it calmer and safer for the kiddos to swim by the dock, yet convenient to get out on the water to play or fish by boat. Since it's on the west side of the lake, the water front and lawn is shaded a bit in the evening. The enclosed sunroom was lovely to sit and relax under the fans while keeping a close eye on the water. Also a great place to sip coffee and enjoy the sunrise. The large interior windows help you soak up the nice view.
The home is well appointed. Comfortable beds, nice linens, updated kitchen and baths. Even better in person than the online photos. The owners are very helpful and made sure our stay was amazing. Highly recommend this place to get away from it all, relax, and recharge.

5/5 This was our second stay, and it may have been even better than the first! Great house, fantastic host, everything you could ask for a break from it all in a tranquil setting. Seriously, walk in the door and feel the stress melt as you gaze out the picture windows to the water. Heavenly! We can't wait to stay again. Thank you so much for sharing your getaway!
