We loved staying in this house. They have thought of everything to make or stay comfortable. The house has great space for relaxing and entertaining. The kitchen has everything we needed. The added bonus was the hot tub. Perfect addition to our stay. Thanks for a great place to get away!!
We chose this location for our 20th anniversary and it was a great pick! You can see that they had paid special attention to details such as gourmet coffee, luxury towels, thoughtful family games to name a few. Check in was easy and convenient with no need for a key, all doors coded. The house was spotless and decorated wonderfully! The beds are comfortable. The hot tub, hammocks and walking the grounds were nice additions to our stay. And finally, we found the guide book useful for all things Granbury for finding fun things to do and nice places to eat. We will be returning!
The Lone Star Getaway is extremely impressive! The hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need. The property is gorgeous inside and outside. The front and back porches are a perfect place to sit and stargaze or spend time with family and friends. The hot tub will be a real treat to relax your tired legs and feet from shopping on the Granbury square! Read a good book or just chat while swaying in the two hammocks.
The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to prepare meals. The appliances are top notch too! The mattresses, pillows. and bed linens are luxurious and extremely comfortable! The bathroom towels are thick, luxurious, and have a fresh clean scent!!!
Great for a single-family or two families with kids. There’s also a bonus reading nook as well as games for all ages to enjoy!
Don’t miss the laundry room too with full-size washer and dryer.
The Granbury square has some great places to shop and eat!
This is a great place to have fun on the lake, just relax and unwind or go shopping!!!
Shared from the owner: "Thank you for your kind words, Gayla! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay!"
I initially planned on starting this by saying, upon first entering the house, what we loved most was the welcoming homee feel and while that is true, it's not Entirely true 🙂 The very first we loved abt the Lone Star Getaway was the drive there! The landscape was beautiful! So many hills and trees, livestock and wide open space as far as the eyes can see. The drive to this Getaway was relaxing in itself!
Now, back to my original statement: upon first entering the house, what we loved most was the warm and welcoming feel the owners captured! The home gives you a calming sense of, 'I can see myself here'. The high ceilings, the Abundance of natural light which streams through its entirety, the elegant furnishings, and beautiful floors. And just like everyone does, we began exploring! From the fully functional kitchen, to the beding of 8, and the multitude of restrooms, this place has it all! And if you have children, they'll love it just as much because the owners of this Getaway 'Got you covered' 😉
The upstairs bedrooms have board games and interactive video games. Coloring books and a comfy little ready nook for those book worms (I'm one of them yall so I especially enjoyed the quiet reading time). But don't worry, there's outside games to! Some fishing gear, cornhole, badminton, score ball, football, baseball, Frisby! So while your outside grilling or soaking in the hot tub, the last going you'll hear is 'I'm bored'!! -This place truly is amazing* And even though our little ones are grown, I know families of all ages and sizes will love this Getaway¡
My husband and I decided to go on this weekend trip to relax & unwind. To step away from the city, enjoy each other's company, and reconnect. And as I stand in the kitchen, looking out the window as the freshly stocked coffee beans grind, I can't help but to reminisce over our weekend. We didn't watch much tv and we only went into town once but we enjoyed our time spending it together! During our days we cuddled on the couch talking and laughing, simply enjoying the peace this home gives you! And we spent our nights outside gazing at the stars. We layed in the hammocks and sat on the porch using the fire pit. We accomplished exacy what we set out to do! To step away from the city, unwind, and simply enjoy each other's company! And we couldn't have chosen any better place than the Lone Star Getaway**
