  I am probably one of the few people visiting Galveston that wasn’t going on a cruise. I was just taking the trip my late husband and I had discussed so many times. So, I got to enjoy this charming home for several days.

  The home was so welcoming, and so beautifully decorated! Think Victorian or Edwardian in style. Cozy lap blankets and comfy chairs in the living room; beautiful dining area; and a very well equipped kitchen. Whatever your coffee preference, they have you covered with a Keurig, an espresso machine and a classic coffee maker with a variety of coffee brands at your disposal.

  The bedrooms were very nicely furnished (I slept in room 2). The bed linens were real quality and bath towels and wash clothes were so fluffy. I really felt pampered. The bed was very comfortable and so cozy – it was chilly the first few days there, but I was toasty warm.

  You can't get this kind of home-away-from-home feeling at a cold, impersonal hotel. This home is in the Historic District and you can tell these people take pride in their neighborhood. Nothing noisy or unpleasant, even on the weekend.

  You simply cannot go wrong here, and the pictures don’t do justice to the beautiful furnishings.

  10 out of 10, would do it again.

  This is a beautiful home with so much character and charm!! Very well stocked with everything you might need!! Everything is wonderful!! Close walk to The Strand. This is a great place to stay!!

• Wish I would have booked a longer stay

  I only stayed here one night, but it made me wish I would have stayed longer. The home was comfortable & welcoming. Nicely decorated for Christmas. I arrived early with my family & the staff were more than welcoming for us to check in way earlier than 4pm. After a long day flying from Alaska, we were so grateful for the opportunity to check in. I did struggle with the lock a bit but a simple phone call solved the problem easily. I would 100% recommend staying here. They are extremely accommodating.

  Highly recommend to all visiting Galveston. Beautiful property and exceptionally clean.

  If your cruise leaves out of Galveston(especially Pier 16) walking to the terminal is a 5 minute walk…absolutely perfect.
