Away for Holiday
5/5 I booked the August Schmidt for a Thanksgiving weekend away from home. I must say my stay was most enjoyable and relaxing. I'm so glad I made August Schmidt my choice. The home was so quiet, comfortable and cozy
The host, Mike, was awesome from the communication before we arrived until the moment we were leaving.
I highly recommend this home!

5/5 We had the best stay at the August Schmidt cottage! It was so beautiful inside and out, with lots of thoughtful touches. Mike is a kind and responsive host. If you’re in the Fredericksburg area you should absolutely stay here! We can’t recommend it enough!

Weekend getaway
5/5 Our stay at the August Schmidt cottage was Amazing! This intimate space was very cozy and the view of the country was priceless! Our host was such a joy and a gentleman. He definitely set the tone by jump starting our adventure with a bottle of wine and ending it with fresh eggs straight from his free range chickens. The place was well stocked and furnished and was decorated with interesting antique decor. The bed slept comfortably especially after our rendezvous on Main Street. We can't rate this place high enough. All we can sincerely express is that we look forward to visiting the August Schmidt cottage again in the near future! Thank You MR. MIKE for such a lovely experience!!!

Our mini vacation
5/5 Was a quick trip to visit a dear friend. The house was clean and private and secure. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice country getaway
