From the owner: "Thank you so much for the review and we love the view as well! it’s the most amazing sunsets all year long and the pine tree swinging in the wind is the best ever. Please come again soon and another season!"
We had a perfect weekend at the lake canoeing, kayaking, playing in the water, watching the gorgeous sunsets each night, and just enjoying our family! The lake house was perfect for what we needed…rest, fun, and time with people we love! It was well stocked and had plenty to do from boardgames to water activities. Communication with our host was the best we have ever experienced as they responded quickly and were so accommodating to our specific needs. An overall amazing experience!
From the owner:"We enjoyed hosting you and your family. We are so glad that everything worked perfectly for you and your family's stay and we strive to keep as many fun things to do as possible for any type of group. Please come back again soon and as it tends to book up during the summer, remember to pre-book if necessary to get that weekend you want!"
We loved staying at this lake house. It was just as pictured. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfy. We enjoyed using the canoes and sitting on the dock at sunset. We will be back again next summer!
From the owner: "Thank you so much for the nice comments and we are Pine Cove family as well! We change the linens quite often after a busy season and have already replaced the towels. Looking forward to seeing you all again this next summer. Also, fall is a great time to come for the bonfire and fishing!"
Quite neighborhood, and we caught catfish. It went downhill from that point. The power went out for a few minutes the first night and the thermostat reset to 76 (Hot night). The range (heating elements doesn't work well) needs replacing. Cookware very worn ,(Food sticks to skillets ) needs replacing. Or bring your own. Hot tub was unaccessible to us. The power went out other nights but restored shortly. On our last night there , the power went out and was still out when we left the next day.15 hours without power. We were reminded that we had to be out by 10AM. So we had to get up at day break, without lights or air conditioning, and pack , clean and leave by 10AM. No Alternate power source!

Hi Mae, we truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts about your recent stay. Your feedback is essential to us, and we've relayed your comments to the homeowner, who would like to address the following:
-We spoke with guests multiple times throughout their stay to find solutions for the power outages. Most are aware of the devastation caused by the Texas storms in May/June, affecting widespread areas. Unfortunately, we have no control over the climate or weather. Our rental property is nestled within the piney woods forest with very tall trees and is waterfront, making power outages occasionally unavoidable. Typically, power is restored within a reasonable timeframe. We are considering an alternate power source as a solution.
-We were not aware of any issues with the stove top heating elements, but we will arrange for an appliance repair as soon as possible to rectify the problem.
-Regarding the hot tub, this amenity is no longer available due to multiple issues caused by guests and is not listed in the property description. We encourage our guests to thoroughly review all listing details to ensure their expectations are met.
-Some cookware items are replaced when they are no longer effective. We offer three different sizes of non-stick skillets and a full commercial set of Calphalon non-stick cookware. One skillet was replaced after your stay due to wear and tear.
We strive to ensure that every guest enjoys the best possible stay, and we eagerly anticipate hosting many more satisfied guests at this property, as evidenced by our other reviews.
We had a great weekend! Everything was as expected and our group enjoyed our time there.
