3/5 The property is very close to the lake. Overall the place had everything we needed. Not luxurious but was clean.

NOT AS ADVERTISED
2/5 The cabin was cute on the inside and fine on the outside. The owners were kind and dealt with a problem ( fridge went out) asap. They also provided plenty of firewood. UNFORTUNATELY, when I booked this, the description said, “ footsteps from the water “ and “nestled on the shore “ of the lake. This was exactly what I hoped for. HOWEVER, there was NO LAKE ACCESS from the property at all! Not footsteps to the water, but a drive to a public park for access. I am extremely disappointed and feel that this was absolute dishonesty to the consumer. I have rented various cabins on the lakes in TX , LA and OK in the past and never ever felt misled like this! In addition the beds were absolutely garage sale quality or worse. Completely worn out and terrible on my back. I have tried to be generous with this review because the owners seemed so nice. But, misleading dishonest property descriptions are NOT NICE. I deserve at least a partial refund.

- Lake Buchanan is across the street from this cottage, but we will update the listing to be more clear on the location
- If guests would like to fish to boat on the lake, the boat ramp & park are just a mile down the road
- The owner has purchased foam mattress toppers to make the beds more comfortable

4/5 Cozy, country cabin at the lake. Nothing fancy, but just the right size, cute decor, and friendly owner! Do be aware, there is no view of the lake from the cabin, but that was ok with us, since we were more interested in the small cities and activities around the area. All around good place to stay. Janet
