  • Wedding Weekend

    5/5

We rented all three of the related properties to host a wedding party. The small chapel was about thirty minutes away but everyone loved the “get away” vibe of the location. Several folks fished, enjoyed the water, and watched beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Great options for everyone!!

  • Great Stay at Lake of the Pines

    5/5

If you are looking for a great place to stay while visiting the Lake of the Pines, then look no further. The house was nestled in among the pines, which are everywhere, the house was clean, fresh, it was very nice, well stocked with the normal every day items. The internet worked well, the airconditioning was great. The hill was a bit steep, but certainly not a hazard, and once on the property there were plenty of places to park. I had brought my boat and was able t back it up under a garage size area on concrete, with a roof, and electric for charging the boat. I spoke once with our host, and she was very kind. Good job! We look forward to coming back.

  • A Short Getaway

    3/5

The cabin is decorated in an updated way and is nicely done. We were expecting it to be more private, but there are 2 other houses VERY close by. The beds were comfortable and the towels/linens were nice. The kitchen has only the very basics....no decent sized coffee mugs or bowls, very little by way of pots and pans. Bring your own coffee maker! It was chilly when we were there and though the fire pit was great, the heater in the house is pretty much nonexistent.

My biggest issue is the cleaning duties renters are to complete at checkout. At $180 cleaning fee, we shouldn't have had to wash all the dishes and put them away, strip the bed and wash the sheets, and take the trash with us!

    Manager's Response:

Hi Angie, the homeowner wanted to pass this along: "Thank you for your feedback on our home. We appreciate your compliments on the décor.
-To provide some context, the home next door is actually owned by us as well so we can assure you there was no one else around during your stay. We make sure that our photos of the property show the close proximity of the other cabin so guests are prepared.
-We're sorry if the kitchen did not meet your preferences, we make sure to stock it as though we were guests staying at the home.
-The coffeemaker is a four-cup to accommodate the complimentary coffee we provide in pre-made four-cup filters. We do agree that the mugs are a touch small, but we'll be replacing them soon.
-The central heat and air conditioning unit is new. Additionally, we have a ceramic heater and a larger heater in case guests prefer a warmer environment. We also make sure to turn the heat on hours before our guest's arrival.
-The checkout instructions are standard in the vacation rental industry and are included in our pre-stay email so guests are not caught off guard. We only ask that one load of sheets are started in the washer and dirty dishes are started in the dishwasher. We provide two large trash cans outside with lids and ask guests to remove any overflow of trash with their departure due to the wildlife in the area.
Thanks again for your feedback. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests."

  • Perfect property for Thanksgiving reunion

    5/5

The property was better than the listing which is very rare in real estate! Its a very cozy property with many spots to sit, relax and talk with family. We REALLY enjoyed the fire pit outside with comfy chairs just a short walk out the back door. It overlooks a beautiful view of the Lake and there was plenty of wildlife: deer, racoons, birds to name a few. The beds were very comfy and Im pretty picky! The bathrooms were very nicely accommodated with plenty of white towels, wash cloths and hand towels.

Thank you Rene for providing a wonderful property for my family to reunite, visit and make a beautiful memory!

  • Family getaway

    5/5

The cabin was cozy and neat. Outside was nice. Just a little too far from the Lake. My husband & I were anticipating fishing but the walk to the lake was challenging. It would have been great if we had an access to a golf cart or side by side. The back porch was amazing! Everyone enjoyed the wildlife especially the deer. Weather was in the 100’s not conducive to lots of porch time. The fall and spring would be ideal.
