  This house has the potential to be a good rental, but its not at this time. The advertised trundle bed has a large stain on it that looked like poop or blood or both. There were no extra sheets/blankets so even if the trundle was usable (which it wasn't) it had no linens and there are no linens for the queen air mattress. We didn't have enough usable beds for our group.The bunk beds are in the worst possible location in the house, if you sit up at all in the top bunk you hit your head on the ceiling. The house has well over 1500 square feet not being used that could house the bunk beds in usable space but they choose upstairs in a nook that is the worst possible place.There is a hot tub but it doesn't work to get hot.The wifi didn't work so we couldn't use the TV to watch anything.Maybe one of the weirdest things is there is not a single couch in the giant house. This house has potential but it is so poorly set up and maintained I can't recommend anyone booking it as it is currently furnished.

• Not the worst, not the best

  I want to preface this review with saying that I believe the property is not managed by someone local. It seems to be a management group based out West (concluded from phone call area code). I believe a majority of the issues we encountered was due to this.Check-in process: Wifi was down so keypad locks wouldn't work. Tried multiple doors before we were given the code to the lockbox on the door. The host was great at communicating and called us while we tried different doors and codes. We were also informed that they had our arrival day down as May 2nd, when we booked it for May 1st-4th. Our email confirms this.Location: The house itself was nice and the surrounding properties had horses and cows which were fun to watch. It's only a 30 minute drive from DFW.Cleanliness: Due to an system error with our check-in date, the floor inside the house was filthy. Fortunately, they had a push broom on the property so we were able to get the lose dirt up. Fire hazard: There were two smoke detector mounts in the house, one halfway up the stairs and the other above the non-primary bedroom hall entry. Neither mounts had the smoke detectors on them! We could not find them in any drawer or closet. Massive safety issue if something was to start on fire. Pool: As a previous review states, the pool is not heated. It looked like the pipes that came out of the pool heater control box were disconnected. If you're looking for a heated pool, this is not the place.

  -There was some confusion about the check-in date—the home was ready as scheduled. Due to a communication gap and internet issues, the check-in review wasn’t completed, but the guest accessed the property without issue using an alternative entry method.
  -The floors were professionally cleaned the day prior to arrival, and we’re unsure what may have led to concerns regarding their condition, as no issues were observed during the pre-arrival inspection.
  -Smoke detectors are installed throughout the home; however, we will conduct a thorough re-inspection and promptly address any that may be missing to ensure the continued safety and comfort of our guests.
  -We apologize for the listing inaccuracy regarding the heated pool and will remove this amenity to ensure accuracy and transparency for future guests.
