Christmas vacation
4/5 The cabin was an excellent choice. It was quiet and a great location. If I come back to this area, I will definitely use this service again. The hostess was knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had.
Very Good Stay but Room for Improvement
4/5 We greatly enjoyed our 6-night stay at the Star Lite Cabin near the Smokies. First the positives:
1. Three full bedrooms, each with their own bath
2. A well-stocked kitchen
3. Nice amenities--rocking chairs, hot tub, poll table, etc.
4. Good location outside the hopelessly crowded Pigeon Forge-Gatlinburg are but plenty close to shopping, restaurants and other attractions. If you want to spend a lot of time in the National Park, book in Wears Valley instead. We only took 1 trip into the park so this cabin worked well for us.
5. The check in process was super easy!
Room for improvement:
1. Space inthe main floor great room is tight. There really isn't room to seat 6 at the Dining Table unless you move other furniture
2. The lighting in the kitchen is very poor--biggest space for improvement. We actually had to use on of our headlamps to see what we were cooking on the stove.
3. The beds in the 2nd bedroom on the main floor were somewhat uncomfortable.
4. The surrounding location is very mountainous--makes it tough to go on family or couple walks near the cabin itself.
