  • A wonderfully relaxing stay

    5/5

This property is beautiful, well kept, and has at least one very special amenity. The hot tub, fireplace, deck, full kitchen, pool table, and PacMan arcade game were all fantastic, but the sauna is what made this place special.

Our stay was quiet, deeply relaxing, and away from the hub-bub of Gatlinburg proper, although all that was minutes away if we wanted it. The mattress on the bed was soft and supportive. There were many options for types of pillows and blankets that we could suit ourselves and our comfort. It was nice to have a full kitchen and a washer/dryer, too.

This property is up a steep and winding road, but the pavement is new, and the way is well-marked. Google Maps got us right there with no difficulty, no matter which approach we were coming in on. The property is convenient to the usual attractions but especially to the parks, which is where we spent a lot of our time during the day.

I loved having my coffee on the deck as the sun came up. Gracie, my Great Pyrenees, loved the place and we walked all over the yard and the up and down the street. There were plenty of board games for evenings. My husband and I played Yahtzee, just like we did on our honeymoon nearly 43 years ago.

The owner was very responsive and her communications were quite helpful. She really loves the place, inspiring us to take extra special care of it ourselves.

We highly recommend this property and plan to come back.

  • Wonderful place to rest and relax and easily reach Gatlinburg attractions

    5/5

My husband, our dog, and I had a great time in this beautiful mountain top property. This place is a quiet retreat only minutes from the hubbub of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and all the other attractions in the area. We mainly visited the beautiful parks with crisp, clean air and charming streams, full of fall color and wildlife. (We took a lot of photographs!)

The owner provided plenty of information and local suggestions, responding quickly and thoroughly to our concerns (mainly about bears, who turned out to be no problem at all). It's clear she loves the place very much, making us want to take good care of it even more.

The house is spacious and has wonderful amenities. My personal favorite was an usual feature: the sauna. I finally reached bone-deep relaxation after a very difficult year. I also appreciated the full kitchen, fireplace, pool table, washer and dryer, and hot tub. My husband loved the PacMan arcade game, taking him back to his youth. The mattress on the bed was perfect, just the right combination of softness and support. There was a large variety of pillows and blankets, enough to suit any taste or need. My husband and I played Yahtzee (one of many board games available) in the charming dining nook, very reminiscent of our honeymoon nearly 43 years ago. We felt safe and secure the entire time.

I loved drinking coffee as I watched the sunrise on the deck. I could let my pup (actually a 7 year-old Great Pyrenees) wander the deck without worry because of the safe balusters under the railing. She and I traipsed all over the yard while she checked out the trail of any visitors that had passed through during the night. We also got some exercise walking the street, where there was very little traffic, as it dead-ends not far from the driveway.

The streets to the property are steep and curvy because of its mountaintop location. But the roads are newly paved with well marked asphalt and clearly labeled street names. We used Google Maps with my cell phone's built in GPS, and we had no problem at all finding our way. It was great to see the generous parking area beside the house. We could easily turn our car around to facilitate loading and unloading luggage or to face the car forward for leaving the next day. We also appreciated the straight shot to the front door ... no stairs there at all.

We had a wonderful time. Very relaxing and recharging before we go into the holiday season ahead. We highly recommend the place and plan to return.

  • Labor Day Vacation

    5/5

Drove 8 hours from Virginia. First impression was lasting…reached out to see if we could check-in early and the owner, Lynda, contacted me minutes later. She allowed us to check-in early which was wonderful. The cabin is beautiful! Nice size rooms, comfortable beds Andrea the pool table and jacuzzi/hot tub made the ending of the day relaxing. Lynda checked on us via text several times throughout the stay just to make certain all was going well. She is extremely accommodating and helps off at all possible. WELL WORTH THE TRIP! We’ll be back!!!

  • “Beary” wonderful stay

    5/5

This house was perfect for our family! The house was clean and very easy to check in to. We saw bears every day we were there, including a mama bear and her 3 adorable cubs. We went into town each day and wore ourselves out with some of the numerous activities that Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge have to offer. We also enjoyed the hot tub at the house and the community pool and game area. The house was stocked with plenty of cooking utensils so we could stay in if we wanted. I would definitely love to come back in the fall to see what the area looks like with the changing leaves!

  • Cute and cozy

    4/5

We loved staying in the mountains. This was actually cheaper than a hotel room and each one of us had our own bedroom. The hot tub was nice and we used it every night. The cabin was cute and cozy. The rooms were nice, and they had everything we needed. They do warn you about the roads being steep and winding, and that is the truth. My husband loved it and it was definitely part of the adventure.
