• Nice for the kids

  It was a great location for the kids to play with the stream right outside in the back, the big kids room with games and bunk beds, and a swing set in the front. From the picks on line it’s hard to tell the swing set is in the front of the house and not in the back where you can easily sit and watch the kids play. The kids didn’t end up using it very much because of that. The outside screened in patio was nice to sit in and hear the stream but not get eaten by bugs and the fire pit with wooden chairs and benches was perfect. There were a few minor mishaps while we were there, the hot tub spills a lot of water on the ground and it tended to be wet on the back porch, the AC unit in the kids room started leaking and we had to call to get it fixed, there were a lot of cobwebs in the light fixtures and on the back porch and the white dining chairs had stains on them and seemed pretty wobbly when sitting in them. Overall those things were pretty mild and we had a great stay. The kids had so much fun together there and didn’t want to leave. Great family rental for anyone with younger kids and pets.

• Needs a deep cleaning

  The property and lay out of the house are really nice. We were a family of 12 - 8 adults and 4 children. Lots of space for games, puzzles, eating, resting. Like that every bedroom had a TV. Enjoyed the stream, fire pit and play set.

  All that being said the house needs a deep cleaning: we had to have maintenance come change the furnace filter as it was soooo dirty (they did come right away after we checked in on a Saturday), the musty smells in the bedrooms and especially the master bath were very strong. The bunk room is really nice but the internet does not work in there. There is no cell service there so internet is important.

  Nothing fancy, but clean and comfy. Idealic location. My grandkids LOVED playing in the stream. We enjoyed daily "campfires" out by the stream. Plenty of room for all of us. Decent yard. Cute bear themed decor. The kitchen table chair cushions were stained ... mostly looked like water/liquid stains. I suppose that is pretty much unavoidable when frequently renting to large groups. It didn't really affect our enjoyment of the cabin.

  My 2 issues were:

  #1 The dishwasher had dirty water in it when we got there. We were never able to get it to drain so I had to wash all dishes by hand. (It was a holiday weekend and we didn't want to bother having somebody come out to fix it. I reported it when we left, so I'm sure it's fixed by now. )

  #2 There was no vacuum cleaner, only a shop vac, which I assume was for the back porch with the hot tub. And 2 very narrow brooms, made it very time consuming to sweep the

  debris that the grandkids tracked in from the yard/ stream. We really needed a vacuum/ cordless stick broom, so you might want to bring your own.

  Overall, it was perfect for our family. The best of both worlds ... felt like we were camping, but with comfy beds, showers, kitchen and screened porch. We loved it!

  Would definitely rent again.

  From the time we walked in, we loved the whole ambiance. So spacious, the cleanliness was superb. The scenery was beautiful from inside out!

  Excellent for large group, plenty of activity in and around home. Creekside was perfect, small bank down to creek. Kids loved wading. Amenities were comfortable and plenty.
