    My kids want to go back!! We traveled 12 hours with 4 kids 3 adults to arrive to this gorgeous cabin! My kids had never seen leaves change! This cabin is beautiful!! So close to downtown Gatlinburg and Ober Gatlinburg! Plus bear sightings!!! Insane!! When we go back we are staying here!!

  • Disappointed


    The overall stay was okay…. But they should let people know the Rocky TV in the master bedroom downstairs doesn’t get internet signal so it’s not usable… the downstairs room with 2 single beds one bedpost was screwed on and the drawers to the dresser as soon as you open literally fall right out and one person can not view the television from bed… the loft area bedroom and bathroom were decent but was missing a remote to the television took us 2 days to find that shoved under the trundle bed… main level bathroom had mold on the shower curtain which I was a little upset about due to my daughter has an immune deficiency and that is not healthy at all so she could not use that rest room… the master bedroom on main level closet door was broken on the one side…. Just a little disappointed after you pay all that money to have that many issues but luckily me and my family made it work :(

I send a personal welcome email and have posting instructions in the home asking guests to reach out with any concerns. Our cleaners offer a satisfaction guarantee and will return to address any missed items. We have "boots on the ground" maintenance to address other issues. I reached out to the contact in the booking to check on arrival and ask if there were any concerns. The response was entirely positive. It seems that the connection in the reservation was another person. I was surprised after check-out that you brought up concerns over the driveway and the shower curtain. We let guests know in the listing that the driveway is steep. The shower curtains have been replaced before your stay. I had the cleaners re-check, and I think what you saw were the magnets at the bottom to help hold the curtain in place. The other issues weren't addressed at the same time, only now. The beds are poster beds, and yes, they do screw together. I am not sure how else you could put them together. I checked the dresser, and the drawers seem fine. The bedroom and loft TVs are internet, and all checked out okay. We keep extra remotes, so if you had let me know, we could have alleviated that stress. Again, I am so sorry you didn't allow us to address concerns or let the person I was communicating with know of your concerns so we could work through them to ensure you were happy. Thank you"

  • Nice location


    The overall stay was good. Nice location, just enough space for our family of 7, quiet neighborhood, a little creek running in front the cabin, and we got to see a mama bear running across the road to the woods one morning. The cabin was well supplied, and everything as listed. The only things I'm going to mention are only to help improving that sweet little cabin. The cleanliness is the really the main reason I was not happy about. Dog hair from previous guests EVERYWHERE. Talking about chunks, ON THE BED - which makes me doubts the linen were changed - on every corners of the house, stairs corners... it was bad. Spider webs and old dust under the bed and furnitures... the whole place needs a deep cleaning. Another thing is for a cabin that size accommodating many guests, please leave extra garbage bags. There was a broom but no dustpan. The living room TV besides the instructions, was not working properly. The remote was impossible to use you had to press so hard on buttons... not a big deal just throwing it out there. Other than that, the place was awesome. Would book again as I'm sure the owner will have a talk to the cleaning service they are using.

  • Disappointed, Dirty


    We did not receive a checking email until almost an hour and a half AFTER check-in. I emailed the host for a code but didn’t receive a reply. So, I finally got enough signal to call the managing company and got a checkin email sent. The property inside and out was dirty. While the main floor had been swept, the stairs and bathroom and downstairs had not been. Upon checking the beds, we found that they smelled like body odor. We checked the pillows because the cases didn’t look “fresh”. There was opened food in the freezer. There was not a TV remote fort the main floor bedroom so we couldn’t use that Television. The remotes for the living room tv did not work, and there were no batteries for them. There were AA batteries but the TV remote used AAA. Most of the remotes were missing their covers. While the welcome letter assured that the hot tub was on and would be ready to enjoy immediately it was not on at all and was 57 degrees. It was ready to enjoy at about midnight. Having owned a hot tub, it was obvious the chemicals were inadequate as the water was foamy. I contacted the host about the bedding, and remotes and about the hot tub being off and cold. I was told that the hot tub was cold because it had just been drained, cleaned etc. and they would send the cleaning company out and that the host would let us know when they would arrive. By 7:15 we had not received any notification that they were coming so we left to go to dinner. At 7:32 I received a text saying that the cleaning company came but because we had left our dogs they left… they could have at least left clean sheets and pillowcases. So I stripped the beds and washed and dried sheets. The mattress pad on the main floor bed was covered with feces and blood stains!! They did not even look to have been washed or the stains treated. The bedspreads and pillow shams are very dated and dingy and smelled of body odor. We get that this property is a mountain property but the windows were dirty, the decks had old moldy dirt and leaves and not been swept. The highlight of the stay was when a Mama Bear and her cubs got into the opened bear proof container and tore the previous guests trash out everywhere. They were after a dinner of KFC. The hosts were unapologetic about the state of the place. Yes, we did take photos of the most offensive things.

    - Evolve confirmed that they sent you the check-in instructions the day before arrival and quickly sent them again upon request.
    - I also sent a welcome email with my contact info; I would have been happy to help had you reached out to request the door code.
    - The house is professionally cleaned before every stay and kept to high standards. I was surprised to hear that you were concerned about the sheets, as I saw the cleaners arriving with fresh laundry and leaving with dirty laundry when preparing the cabin for your arrival
    - My housekeeping team did head back to the house as soon as they could to address your concerns, but as we were not informed that you had brought a dog, they did not feel comfortable entering the home.
    - The cleaners did leave linens, blow off the deck, and check the hot tub, which was at 88.
    - The hot tub is drained, cleaned, and chemically balanced between each guest. While this means it is not always hot upon arrival, we feel it is more important that it is kept clean.
    - The TV is always checked between guests, and I was happy to direct you to where we keep the extra batteries.
    - I was at the house four days before your check-in, so I am confident that everything was clean and ready for arrival.
    - I apologize again for any dissatisfaction you felt despite my best efforts to address your concerns. I will continue to do all I can to provide a clean and comfortable stay for all future guests.
