  Met the kids at the cabin, had good weather for the first 3 days and cooler after that. Very secluded location but close enough to see all the attractions. I had a hard time getting to the fire pit as I have some mobility issues. Although it was advertised as having steep access to the area. Only good things to say except I would take the metal angles off the legs of the benches in the kitchen, my toe still hurts!!! Lol!

  I loved the seclusion, views, and design of the cabin. It was very nicely decorated. It was true to the cabin style that i liked, nostalgic and contemporary but equipped with enough of the modern pleasures that any age could enjoy their stay. My only issue, and this is a huge one, is that the downstairs bedroom has bed bugs. I started itching the night i arrived, very intense itching. I didnt attribute it to bed bugs because my boyfriend wasnt itching. I didnt have any raiswd bumps so i just thought i was having an allergic reaction to some medicine i had taken. I looked past it and slept in the bed the next night. The itching continued but it still didnt dawn on me. Finally, on check out morning my boyfriend woke me up and said he had just killed a bug on himself. I still explained it away because he said he wasnt itching. After getting out of the bed i immediately saw a large black bed bug crawling across the bed. At that point i knew it was bed bugs. I took pictures of my body everywhere i had been bitten and took videos of the bed and the bugs. Upon lifting up the mattress cover i found casings, what looked to be larvae, and more bugs. I did all the procedural things as instructed and prepared to check out. Upon checking out i notified the person who i assume to be in charge of the cabin operations about the bed bugs. Their exact words were "I was just there Sunday and Monday nights myself and slept in the same bed. Interesting! I will have my cleaning lady check it thoroughly.

  I apologize for that." I have yet to be offered a any sort of refund which i feel i shouldnt have to ask for. The situation was disappointing i was definitely contemplating booking again but with the outcome so far and not being offered any conpensation for my trouble here that is no longer an option.

  Nice structure, not enough hot water to use jet tub, oversized recliner totally worn out, have to use multiple cushions in lower back area to set in it! Should tell people about how steep the road is the last 1/4 mile to cabin, if it snows you will have to walk, or have a good 4x4.

  Had a great week woke up to 5 deer in the front yard. Nice and quiet place in the mountain will definitely come back.
