• WORST VACATION RENTAL WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN!!!

  This house severely fell short of the amenities listed & shown: The air conditioning did not work, the water stopped working twice during our stay for more than a 1/2 hour each time, the refrigerator ice maker did not work, gas fire pit did not work, although the hot tub worked it was swarming with wasps, a chair by the hot tub was broken, the grass was extremely long when we arrived, gas grill was filthy.

  We needed air as Sturgis temps were well over 105°F during our stay. Everyone needs water!!

  We arrived on Thurs. around 3:30, the house was not very cool. We thought maybe air had just turned down for our arrival & it hadn’t cooled down completely. We immediately realized the ice maker was not working, because we wanted to be able to take a cooler on our day trip. We had to buy ice.

  Fri. around noon we topped the hot tub with water as the level was not covering the jets. After 25 gallons of water being added, the water stopped completely. I immediately called the guest contact only to have my call go unanswered. I tried to leave a message but was unable to nor did I ever receive a call back. I was going to ask what we were to do about the water & to let them know that the air-conditioning wasn't working. After waiting approx. 30 minutes, the water started to flow, so we were late for plans. All five of us still needed a shower. When we arrived back to the house Friday night, my son said that there was water dripping from an air vent in the basement ceiling.

  Sat. while trying to get ready to leave we ran out of water again after 4 of us took showers. We waited 30 min. for the 5th person to take a shower. Late again! When we arrived back Sat. night around 10:30, the house was extremely warm, my son went downstairs & said there was water coming out of a light fixture in ceiling! A complete Fire Hazard! I called the guest contact again, he did answer but was completely rude & unhelpful. My husband found the furnace and it was completely covered in ice!

  Sun. my alarm went off at 8:30. 8:32 the Guest Contact/Owner text me saying “Air seems to be working now.” I replied “Thanks to my husband for staying up till 1:30 thawing the ice on the air conditioner with a blow dryer, so it could run properly. Your welcome!” I would sure like to know how he knew the air conditioner was working properly. If he knew then that it was working properly then, how did he not know it wasn’t working properly during our entire Stay!! I’m sure he did & chose to ignore it!

  A comfortable and safe stay is important to us, and we’re sorry the A/C and temporary water interruptions affected your visit during the extreme heat. We became aware of the A/C issue on the final night and promptly provided guidance to defrost the iced unit. The reported moisture was traced to the frozen A/C system. The well can temporarily lose pressure under unusually heavy water use. After checkout, the outdoor amenities were inspected. The fire pit was operational, the grill showed normal use, the lawn was under regular professional care, and no wasp activity was found. We take the feedback seriously and remain committed to keeping the property safe and well-maintained.

  It was perfect for our family, the hot tub was great. Warmed up and ready to go before we arrived.

  Honestly, the pictures don’t do enough justice. Great stay, quick response, and fantastic location to deadwood. Would highly recommend.

  The house was very clean and beautiful, we had plenty of room for everyone. Beds were comfy, and nice big front deck. Only complaint I have is that The yard was quite a bit overgrown so the kids couldn’t enjoy being outside much besides on the deck. Which she told us the landscapers backed out last minute and they were working on finding someone else.
