Needs some improvements
3/5 Overall the house looks very nice & renovated. However, when we entered the home we realized the stairs are EXTREMELY steep with no railing. This would have been nice to know with small children and grandparents traveling with us. On the screened porch, there was broken glass from what appeared to be a previously shattered patio door and TONS of loose screws on the deck that my TWO year old kept bringing to me before I realized where they were coming from. There was no outside trash can for a one week stay & we were told we were expected to take it to the nearest convenience center, which was close to 20 minutes away. This should not have been our responsibility as we are on vacation. We kept smelling something on the screened porch and realized the grease bucket underneath the grill had maggots. My husband vomited trying to dump it.
Also wanted to note we noticed when we were outside the camera out front was turning and following us.

We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your stay overall, but we’re sorry the experience did not fully meet your expectations, as this is not the standard we strive to provide for our guests. The staircase is original to the home and visible in our listing photos, but we understand it may not be suitable for all guests and will review the listing to ensure this is communicated more clearly. We have addressed the broken glass, loose screws on the screened porch, and the grill grease bucket with our cleaning team to help ensure these areas are properly inspected moving forward. We have also added a service yard to allow trash cans to be stored and emptied between stays. Finally, the exterior security camera is disclosed in the listing and is installed for the safety and security of the property and our guests. We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention and will use your feedback to continue improving the guest experience.
