Pros and Cons
4/5 Pros: Beautiful area, very serene, saw birds, turtles, fish, crabs, and snakes, the beach is stunning in a natural setting, condo just steps from boardwalk to beach, and a pool, large deck porch, many restaurants close by, state park close by. Cons: Kitchen was not a chef's paradise, little counter space, every knife was very dull and useless, the spices were old, found one pan was crusted with burnt food, limited supplies of paper towels, and toilet paper, and gave only one trash bag, the shower is set so that you can not take a hot shower!!! all other taps worked fine, not as upscale as I thought the furnishings need improvement, pools are not heated.

So Peaceful...
5/5 What a nice, quiet, relaxing and peaceful place. The condo is exactly as described. Super clean and very comfortable. Great boardwalk to the beach which is pristine. The local contact, Susan was very responsive if I had any questions.I loved the sea turtle theme of the decor which was beautiful and tasteful and included some really nice pieces. Furniture was very comfortable - I loved the recliners that were the size of regular armchairs... I need to look into where to get myself some for my living room!I'm not sure what it's like in the peak season but one night I had a distinct feeling I was the only person staying in the building because it was sooooo quiet - loved it! The condo was large, compared to other beach condos I have stayed in and the deck was great, spanning the whole width of the unit with sliders allowing access to both the living room and the bedroom.If you're looking for nightlife and lots of high-energy activities (bars etc.) this is not the place. If you're like me and needed a restful get-away this is exactly what the doctor ordered. If you do want to go out to restaurants, Beaufort isn't far but I just cooked all of my meals right at the condo, saving lots of money and didn't have to get dressed up to go anywhere :)I would definitely return without hesitation!
