This is a great, quiet location for many, many nearby areas for trout fishing. The lake the cottage is on also has fish in it.
It was very difficult to get instructions on how to get into the property, the management company was useless. We called VRBO directly and got a clear and concise answer. The weekend turned out great! We hiked all around, swam a lot and hung out on the porch with a superb view of the lake.

The home was lovely and we enjoyed staying there!! The straight down and up a mountain to get to the lake was rough!!! Location was the best!! Right near everything we wanted to do! Will try to book again next year!
If you are looking for a quiet getaway overlooking a lake in the South Carolina mountains, this place will suit you well. Had coffee on the front deck looking out at the lake each morning, listening to the Hooded Warbler singing away. We had a nice paddle around the lake in the canoe, and John (owner who was in the next door of the duplex) told us how to find the pretty little waterfall that feeds the lake.
