We had a nice stay at this Tanglewood condo. It was clean, easy to check in and out, and exactly as described. Would definitely stay here again.
This villa fully matches the pictures and description. Clean & bright. A terrific location- close to all but quiet. We loved the pool and there's a new playground really close by as well.
Great property close to the beach! It was perfect for our group of 3

I was very happy with our stay at Hilton Head. It was our first time on the island. It is lush with palm trees and greenery. Even in August you get reprieve from the summer heat with the shady coverage. All of the architecture on the island is the same- light tan wood. Don’t worry if you’re looking at places that look dated on the outside- the whole island looks like that. It is a design choice for the island. The outside of the Tanglewood Villas is very well maintained. I knew the unit was not right on the beach. We have two teenagers so I wasn’t concerned about a little walk to the water. Even so - the kids would have liked to be right on the beach. It wasn’t super convenient if you wanted to run back for snacks. We did not walk back and forth when we were at the beach.
It was nice to have a wagon, chairs and umbrella. All of us are over 6 feet tall- so the wagon wasn’t great for our height. (Too short) It was tricky to steer on the sidewalk but worked fine on the sand. There are also two small boogie boards in the unit. The Piggly Wiggly sells cheap volleyballs, footballs, beach paddle balls etc. The beach sand is firmly packed and great for games.
You could walk to the Piggly Wiggly and Coligny Plaza if you don’t mind walking. We drove and found parking no problem. There are some fun shops and restaurants at Coligny plaza. There are also lots of musicians playing. Shelter Cove Marina also looks fun.
To get to the beach - you walk past another unit of the Tanglewood Villas, turn right and cross the street. There is beach access route by the Seaside Villas. You could also walk down to the Coligny Beach Park to enter the beach. There are bathrooms at the Coligny Plaza. We set up closer to the Seaside villas- we figured it would be busier by the Coligny Beach.
You can buy a lunch or drinks at the Tiki Hut which is right on the beach and part of the Beach House Hotel. They give you food in boxes so it’s easy to bring back.
The beds were super comfortable and the dishes were great. There is a dishwasher and the fridge had ice and water. The coffee maker is a Keurig- we decided to buy a jug of iced coffee at the store instead of pods. We sat on the balcony in the morning to have our coffee and breakfast. When we were there they had several streaming channels available- so we had a fun night watching a movie we didn’t have at home. There were a ton of board games in the room with twin beds we would have played those if we stayed longer.
Great location and exactly as described. Perfect for our group!
